Product Description

The Montesio mountain range is located in the Friuli Venezia region of Italy, approximately 35 km northeast of Venice at 2,500 feet above sea level. Cheese Montasio was originally produced by monks who used to work the pastures of the monastery that owned those lands. DOP, which means its production and properties are protected by law, is the designation for cheese today. With a flavor that is nutty and slightly fruity, Large Wheels are made.

The grated cheese (1 1/4 oz) was better than a dusting of sugar. Cheese of the highest quality. It was grated (1 1/4 oz), heated in a non-steaming pan, and turned out delicious Heat pan until very hot (add a few pieces of cheese to sizzle in the pan) & Once the cheese is melted, drop the rest into the mixture Like a pancake, spread into a thin layer. As soon as it begins to brown, work a spatula around it. Flip and cook a couple of moments more on the other side. I shaped them like tacos and filled them with salad right from the pan! The presentation was amazing and very well done.

There is no way I would ever be disappointed with Montasio, so what do I have to fear? There is nothing! There is a strong Italian flavor in the cheese and the packaging was appropriate. To be precise, it is Friuli.
