In as far as the brine is good, the feta ought to be good so long as it is packed in brine. In the event that the brine turns yellow, I would dump it all. Feta is a cheese that I eat only in a short period of time, usually within a week, since it is very soft. The fact that it depends on many factors for food to stay fresh is shown by the open container I found in the back of the refrigerator that was over two weeks old and was just fine. You can expect the cheese to spoil quickly if you touch it.
It is made of cow's milk, which is why it is so Compared to other fetas, this is an excellent everyday feta for the price. In my opinion, sheep's milk feta is the best, but this one is excellent and I purchase it frequently.

The safety seal was missing when the package arrived. I tried it regardless because it looked like it had not been altered. The generic "Greek" facto arrived without a seal of safety. No matter what, it is intact and looks like it hasn't been modified. 'Greek' feta with a high fat content. Locally, I prefer the French feta I can buy at Costco, which is more like Greek cheese. I'm Greek, so I know what I'm talking about. I am saying this for the first time (I am pretty sure you will only hear that once).
There is a superior feta made from sheep's milk, but this is cow's milk feta. I actually enjoyed it for cow's milk feta, it was not overly salty, but it lacked the tang and texture I enjoy in sheep's milk feta. I am disappointed.
This review is only because some other reviewers have given this cheese a rather low rating and I wonder if they had a bad batch of it. Compared with what can be found in the U. S. , this feta is pretty good. It is still a regular visit to the Med for me and I used to live there. Yes, it is true there is better feta in Greece, Turkey, the Middle East, etc. , and some Middle Eastern shops in the US will also sell great However, when compared to the standard feta found in most grocery stores in the US, this is probably the best you can do.
cheese regardless of the type, whether it is made from french, Greek, Bulgarian goat or cow milk, or even American goat milk. However, the brine on this cheese was darker than usual, and it smelled and tasted spoiled. As much as I love cheese, I ate all kinds of different cheeses, but this one was almost bitter and BUY THIS ITEM IF YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY! For clarification, feta cheese brine shouldn't be dark so throw the cheese out if it does. A brine is just water and salt so if the color is off, toss it.
I like to mix feta with kalamata olives, scallions, and other ingredients. I have to admit, on its own, I do not think this is as good as other Fetas Yet, when using it for mixing, it keeps its structure very well without crumbling much or being "smooth. " This blend works perfect in my simple blend of crumbled feta, kalamata olives, and scallions, and I am confident that it will also work in other cuisines. The price and the amount you get it for deserve 5 stars - if your expectations are for it to be more the use of texture and an subtle touch with the tastes of what you add.
I love the taste of this feta and it has a lot of moisture (I don't like feta that is too dry). There is one thing that I don't like - the packaging There is a problem with the lid that prevents it from sealing properly, so you have to carefully take it out of the fridge, otherwise the contents will spill.
I love it. It is the best feta I have ever tasted! I love how fresh and amazing it is. It lasts me about 3 months, since this is a large pack The duration of the stay for two people is four weeks. Crumbling my own pieces is fun because I can determine what size they will be broken up into. In addition to the price, you get a lot for your money. In the past, I would buy the one that came crumbled for nearly the same price, but perhaps only a quarter of that If you are a feta lover, we highly recommend the book!.
I usually buy feta in brine from BJs (the current brand Mevgal), which is creamy, tasty, The block is gross so I decided to try it. When I took a bite, I knew that it was not as good as it could have been. In general, it tastes nothing like the feta that you're used to, but maybe if you're used to crumbled feta, it will be okay. After I threw away the rest of the tub, I felt it was unnecessary to keep it.
