Selected User Reviews For Canyon Bakehouse Heritage Style Whole Grain Gluten Free Bread, 24 oz. (Pack of 3)
I have to eat gluten-free and don't enjoy it, but this bread is the closest thing I've found to real bread, and I've bought it several times.
This gluten-free bread is, without a doubt, the best available today. That's for flavor, texture, size, and shelf life. The only issue I've had so far with this Canyon Bakehouse product is that only one loaf made it without the middle missing out of three orders. As shown in the accompanying image. I still think it's excellent bread, but don't you think we're entitled to a whole loaf of bread for the price we pay?
! UPDATE! Since writing this review, I've placed several orders and have received excellent service. There are no holes in the slices any longer. I'm satisfied, and I can now make any type of sandwich I want. br>Thank you for resolving the issue. This is, without a doubt, the best tasting gluten-free bread; try it and you'll agree.
I've experimented with a variety of gluten-free beads. To some extent, all of them lack flavor, size, and thickness. Some foods can only be eaten when they've been toasted. There are a lot of slices that are too small to make real sandwiches out of. Canyon Bakehouse received a five-star rating because it is the best of a bad bunch. I could rattle off a list of gluten-free breads to avoid, but anyone who is celiac knows what they are. No company has yet developed gluten-free breads, and it's unlikely that they will, so I'll continue to use Canyon Bakehouse.
Canyon Bakehouse's bread has always been one of my favorites. Due to the pandemic, this bread is difficult to come by in the area. While I like the Heritage Whole Grain bread because it doesn't crumble, the bread's size isn't itty-bitty. It's a little naughty, but it's tasty; The bread I got was terrible. The bread took a long time to arrive, and the box was not properly secured. At the time of delivery, the box had been partially torn open. The bread I got was extremely dry and barely edible. I tried toasting it, but it didn't turn out as I expected. It didn't brown, but it did become hard, so I'll have to make bread crumbs from it. It's far too costly to discard.
It's difficult to find gluten-free bread that's comparable in price, but this one comes close while being more stable. Most gluten-free breads are cardboard-like in construction, but this one holds up well when made into a sandwich, burger, or other dish. I've bought a lot of gluten-free breads for my wife because she can't eat regular bread, and this one set a new standard for gluten-free bread. I tried a couple of slices and found the flavor to be very similar to regular bread.
It's truly amazing. It can even be eaten without being toasted. You don't have to toast most other gf breads to eat them because of the taste, but you don't have to do so with this one. I'll only eat this gluten-free bread. Yummy!.
It's a great toaster. There isn't anything I can say that isn't positive about it.
Bread is given away for free. I was dissatisfied with this order because it took three weeks to arrive, and because this bread starts out frozen, it was completely dried out by the time I received it (despite the beautiful packaging). I'm not sure what went wrong, but I won't be ordering from this vendor again.
