There is a 50% chance that the bread has been FROZEN in my experience. If you buy on sale and freeze it, it has already been frozen twice, giving it the taste and texture of CARDBOARD!.
I ordered two loaves, and within four days of receiving them in my Fresh shipment, they were both covered in blue mold. They were also both moldy before they reached their expiration dates. I've been buying this exact loaf of bread from the grocery store for years and have never had a problem.
When I store this bread in a bread box in my pantry closet, I love the flavor, texture, and shelf life. In my experience, it lasts for a long time. Despite the fact that I prefer to reduce my use of plastic, I appreciate the fact that the bread is double-layered. packaged. On the outside, there's the standard plastic bag, but inside, there's cellophane packaging. For Covid's sake, I think that's a good idea. I can wipe the outside bag clean and rest assured that the bread is safe and secure. Before tossing both bags after the bread is gone, I reuse them for other purposes.
This is an excellent whole-foods supplement. Aunt Mildred's, on the other hand, is more flavorful and sweeter. I bought both of them new from Amazon.

With subtly, it almost has a sweet and salty flavor. This bread is something I can't seem to get enough of.
