The most disappointing panettone of all time

Disappointed to the point of frustration. I would advise all of my friends and family to avoid it because it was extremely dry, had a hard texture, and could barely be eaten. I've been eating panettone since I was a little girl, and I've tried a lot of different brands, but this was my first time getting this particular brand, and I was really looking forward to it. I read promising reviews, and the packaging is lovely, but when I tried to cut the first slice and found it difficult to do so with the knife, I knew it wasn't going to be as good as I had hoped. I immediately checked the expiration date on the packaging, which stated that it was good until 2018, so I'm not sure what to make of it. It was either old or extremely bad panettone, as it was dry and hard.

The Most Perfect Gift for an Italian Family or Anyone

As a pre-Christmas gift, I gave this Panettone. It was a wonderful holiday present for an Italian friend and his wife! Their only regret was that there wouldn't be enough left over after family visits to make some Panettone French toast, but I assured them that they'd get another loaf at Christmas. I'll place my order as soon as possible because I'm sure it'll sell out quickly. I would strongly advise anyone purchasing this for themselves or as a gift to do so.
