A traditional holiday treat available only during this time of year, this cake is a traditional holiday treat. I can remember these cakes being packaged in either a box or a tin since I was a child. The last time I saw them at a bakery was a long time ago. There's a good chance it's an Italian bakery if they are.
Sweetened bread is what it is essentially. You can find raisins and citron scattered throughout. The best way to eat it is slice it 3/4 of an inch thick, reheat it (not toast it), and eat it! I got a response immediately, and not only did they apologize but, on top of that, when they sent me the two new panettone's, to my utter surprise, they had added a third to make amends for any inconvenience they had caused! (They also asked if I knew the serial number of the first batch (I did) so they could remove any batches that may have been mixed up. A GOOD COMPANY LIKE LA FLORENTINE WOULD BE WILLING AND EVEN GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO SATISFY THEIR CUSTOMERS IF THEY ARE GIVEN THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT! It is not only a high recommendation for this product but also for this seller! As a side note, I slice the panettone in large rounds (after removing the paper binding) and toast it in my toaster oven gently, then spread it with some butter, and it's delicious enough for two if I can keep myself from eating it all! My house definitely doesn't last long because it is a very warm place, but I guarantee you if it is kept in a cool place, it will stay fresh for a long period of time. In my opinion, and not necessarily for everyone else, a possible reason may be that the production process may not be very consistent at There were two boxes in my shopping cart one for myself and one for my family. Both cakes were delicious, moist, and had delectable fruit I will definitely order more panettone in the future since everyone enjoyed it so much. As a result of some of the scathing reviews, I was concerned about the quality of these panettones, but was relieved to find they were fine. They were excellent quality and a great price for a box of panettones. Only caveat is that they are no longer "all butter" like they used to be. There needs to be an update to the information on the page on Amazon. Now, butter is in the third position on the ingredients list and margarine has replaced it This means that the taste is slightly different and trans fats may pose a problem.

When I took a bite, I could tell there were preservatives inside. So if you have a Whole Foods near you, I suggest you get your panettone The taste and price are almost the same, but these are a lot more natural. I don't find this brand to be bad In my opinion, you can do better for more or less the same price. In the spring, when I crave panettone and it is out of season, this brand should be just fine.
