Questions & Answers
The panettone from Chiostro that I am familiar with is NOT gluten-free. I haven't looked to see if a particular variety is gluten-free, but the ones I'm familiar with aren't. I haven't tried the Pear and Chocolate variety, so I don't have any experience with it. Other varieties do not contain gluten.
I would keep it wrapped in an airtight container in the refrigerator if you live in a humid environment. If your climate is cooler, room temperature should suffice; however, I'm not sure if it can be frozen. In my house, it is devoured rather quickly:
Our package arrived on December 22nd, 2021, with a May 5th, 2022 expiration date.

" This was a birthday cake for a fussy elderly gentleman that I ordered, and it arrived quickly. Amazon delivered the cake in a paper envelope rather than a box, which I found strange. Yes, the cake was delivered in a crooked shape. In addition to being costly, all fears were vanquished with just one bite. YUMMY. Don't be hesitant; the limoncello flavor was fantastic. It's not overly sugary. We will place another order. The next time will be a secret rendezvous between my husband and me.
I bought this product to give it a try before ordering more for Christmas gifts - item was packed in a box that was far too large; they added bubble wrap to help fill the space, but it was in vain - There was an E on the bread. Smashed ticket ride with a flat top. They also stuck a scan sticker on top of the beautiful paper - I couldn't give it as a gift that way either - I was able to remove the sticker without ripping the paper, but there was a sticky residue left behind - ugh - I was excited to give this as a holiday present - Although the flavor is pleasant, the risk of squished bread makes it unworthy of the price.
The product may have been great 6 months ago - but it's no longer. This Easter cake is made in Italy. The items we received were past their expiration date, which was at the beginning of September. From now on, we'll be paying more attention to sellers. Some people should be avoided at all costs.
Purchase is not recommended. It was delicious when I ordered it last year. They made it smaller this year and used different chestnuts. . . I think they're candied, but I'm not sure. The bread portion is devoid of moisture. It would be fine if you used it to make French toast, but I prefer it plain with coffee, and it was a letdown. It can't be returned because it's not in good condition.
Pantone did a fantastic job. However, one side of the loaf was smashed.
I paid more than $40 in the hopes of receiving a high-quality product, but I was disappointed. It was a waste of money because the sand was dry and tasteless. Sad.
The candied pears were delicious, the dark chocolate was decadent, and the sponge itself was light and fluffy, which was an added bonus! This is an excellent variety to be aware of and possess, and the panettone was well protected by the packaging. Yummy!.
To put it succinctly, it's fantastic! With a light touch of alcohol and a rich crema, it's confident and suave. I'd like to ask for it again as soon as it becomes available. Excellent work! A dioses' scavenger hunt!.
