This is a great system because it's easy to set up and operate
5/5

My previous provider was xfinity Home, and I bought this after 6 years with that service. As a result of them raising my rates and tampering with my contract, I grew tired of it. It's great that there's a Ring system now. Besides the peephole cam and interior camera, I purchased an interior camera as well. Easy installation is one of the best features of the system. It's outrageous that Comcast charges $99 for an install fee for a similarly designed system. The program worked out of the box without any issue. I was surprised at how big the door sensors were, but there is some left over spacing and I had no problems with them. It is possible to setup multiple users within the software. Currently, it notifies me each time my door opens and closes on my phone, but this feature can be disabled. According to what I can see, I don't have any rules options like I had with my previous The system will be automatically armed at a specified time, just in case I forget). It is great to hear that the price is just $10 per month. My Ring smart bulbs are patched into using Alexa with some cheap smart bulbs I bought from Amazon. For a few minutes in the middle of the night, I turn on the kitchen lights blue if my front door is open. As soon as the motion detector detects motion in the kitchen, the lights turn white dim until the front door opens and I leave. the alarm is disarmed and a person comes home during the day, my kitchen lights turn on after 30 minutes, and they turn off after another 30 minutes. All of these settings are custom, but the Alexa rules are being triggered by Ring alarm sensors. I found this to be very helpful. I have never seen a system like this before.

It is, however, super easy to set up and configure
3/5

Installation of the product is super easy. It's a great option for ensuring the basics of home security without the need to purchase anything at all Options that will be monitored. There was a delay in alerting, which is the only reason why this did not get 5 stars. Despite its shortcomings, the rest of the situation is The devices will trip if any of them is triggered! If you ring your doorbell, use a motion sensor, or trip the door, etc. , it takes at least 10 seconds It takes 15 seconds before an alert hits the app and notifies you of its arrival. This could last a lifetime in the event of a break-in. I'm not sure if the cloud component has anything to do with it, but it is highly suspect. It would make sense if Ring offered a small local storage option that would then move the data to the cloud so they could continue to make money by forcing you to subscribe to their cloud service. Home security is important to me because I want to know that the moment my movement is detected - I am waiting for the situation to unfold so I can react. The amount of time it takes to accomplish this doesn't meet that standard. The results would be better if I used cans and a string. Therefore, if you are looking for real time, you should look elsewhere. It is a great option if you are fine with a delay and near real time is what you are looking for.

I received my ring yesterday, and the customer service was terrible
3/5

I installed it this morning but there are no sticks on the back of the window sensor and door sensor. A customer called to get tape and was informed to go to the store. It might sound easy to fix that problem. Even so, after spending more than $200, I would prefer to purchase a system that is truly ready to run from Returning to the United States. The idea is good, but the execution is horrible.

WATCH OUT! ARRANGEMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO WORKING OUT THE BUGS! Getting this product on day 1 was exciting for me
3/5

I was able to set it up and connect it to Alexa, as well as integrate it with The alexa system could not contact the Ring when it happened out of the blue. In order to do it, I willis to download the app. A problem was encountered switching from the disarmed to armed state in the app. My base station would not come back online after removing all of the devices. I reset it first, but the devices could not be re-connected. A registered user. When I called tech support, after attempting to work with the unit for an hour, they gave up and told me the unit had to go to engineering, and a replacement was being sent. Now I have a security system that does not work at all. What the heck? There is no way I can be concerned about whether I will be safe or not, since I have no confidence in the security system that is supposed to protect me. I am utterly devastated!.

The price is too high
3/5

There is no shrill sound coming from the siren. There was only half a battery in the door sensor. After installing it despite my reluctance while it appeared to be repacked and new, the system started functioning. However, this is a review of a gen 2 system, of which I must say that it is overpriced and poorly made, and that the siren is nearly It is possible that I got a bad one, but when I compared it with someone else, they also said they got it.

Staff is horrible and the company is even worse
3/5

In September 2019, I purchased my 1st Ring device after a lengthy comparison and choosing them was due to their long FREE time to review video clips of their devices. The terms have changed, and you must have a subscription to view anything other than live video after you have had the product for over a year and ordered several items from them from them.

An error message appears as soon as the base station is turned on
4/5

In a nutshell, Powers on, but cannot connect to WiFi with a brand new Gen2 base station. Having now gotten an expensive paper weight, I am left unable to use it. (

Edit for clarity The rechargeable battery was removed, and the device is working now. After stress and strange behavior, I was able to connect with no problems.

It doesn't quite protect you from idiots
3/5

Due to a theft, I was in the market for a security system, which is how I found this site. As a grad student on a budget, this seems like the best option, and I like how easy it would be to install and how easy it would be to grow as we move out of a rented apartment into something bigger. This wasn't as simple as I had hoped when installing. I won't pretend to be a tech guru, but it wasn't as straightforward as I had hoped. However, there was a problem with the wifi in the middle of the evening The installation process. In order for everything to work properly, I had to reset the factory settings because the pieces weren't all set up. There was a lot of work involved. How come the green is blinking? Yes, that's right! Does this color have a solid red hue? Yes, that's right! Have you ever seen a red blinking light? In no case). Likewise, the pinhole tool provided could not be inserted into the keypad's pinhole at the back. I found that to be When you first get everything set up, the system is very easy to use. wish there were some way to integrate Google Home with the app. Although I understand that it's stupid to complain about being able to set the alarm with my voice instead of using my phone, it would be nice. Everything is very aesthetically pleasing and I sleep much better at night, so all in all, I'm quite pleased Only one other thing I would note is that you should check to make sure your motion sensor is set up properly. We set it off on our very first trip out in the field.
