The holes above the window should be drilled on both sides, and the nails or screws should be inserted directly above. When the window is opened to that distance, it will not interfere with any other openings. If nails are in the way, remove them to fully open
It is true. Embedded with double-sided mounting tape, it actually comes with double-sided
The key pad of the door version with the key switch can be set to sound from home/away to alarm/chime option on the left. Good question and yes, the side switch on the window versions and the door versions with the key pad can function. In addition to the vibration alarm, doors such as sliding glass doors also come with an on/off switch.
Batteries are the reason for such disclaimers since this item runs on a small LR44 battery.

We bought two packs and used them on each one. All the alarms are loud enough to hear from anywhere in the house. While the sound is loud enough to hear from all parts of the house, however, every single one of them fell off the door within four This caused both the alarm itself and the magnetic strip to crash There was something very sticky on the back of these devices. We found the backing slipped right off our doors (Note To prevent this, the surfaces were cleaned and allowed to dry overnight before placing the stickers on the doors, making sure that the surfaces were bare with no dirt or other particles that could interfere with the adhesives working). Our problem with this is that we have young children and pets. There are approximately four batteries, each about the size of a fingernail, scattered all over the floor when the alarm goes off. In our pursuit of battery removal, we chased dogs, cats and children around the house, also trying to get batteries from toddler hands and animal mouths. My view of this is that it is absolutely not acceptable. Batteries can kill you if they are swallowed, we all know that- Taking such a risk is not something that parents want to do. This purchase was extremely disappointing and we are not going to purchase from them The purpose of these items is to make our home safe rather than the.
I'm updating my review and giving it a 2 out of 5. There is no reason for me to wake up at 12AM to such a loud alarm. I haven't even had them on for 3 days. The first thing you think is that someone is My alarm goes off at 1045, so I get up fast (had fallen into deep sleep at around 1045) and try to find out why it's going off. I was either standing by the door or window right next to my bedroom, since my house is only 800 square feet. By turning on the flash light on my phone, I notice that the door alarm is halfway Then I must rip the thing off the door trim to stop it from moving. After I check the door for messes, I rip the thing off the door trim to stop it from moving. The tool is removing paint from a lot of surfaces. Here we are. There was almost a damn heart attack as I woke up wide awake. The pictures will all be taken off this weekend so my dad can screw them into the wall. It is highly recommended you don't buy these unless you can screw them into your desired location. Using sticky tape is a waste of time. It was very easy to follow the instructions and I made sure the suckers were on well. I had a problem with the magnetic strip on my front door on the first I just fell, which did not cause an alarm. The number of days missed has come down to two less than three. I don't like it.
They have a LOUD alarm and a chime so they are perfect for little things like this. A set of batteries is included. I don't trust sticky tape or glue so I tried drilling a small hole and screwing the flanges in rather than using sticky tape or glue I used my cheap drill press and a small drill bit large enough to allow a #4 stainless pipe head sheet metal screw to pass through it. Where you take out the screw that holds the back to the front can be the hole where you make the hole for the main unit. The batteries use 44 AA In this magnet unit, only the top half of the little magnet unit, the part that is attached to the door frame, has a By shining it under a bright light, you can see the exact location of the thing. The other half of the hole needs to be drilled. Just get a few #4 screws as I suggested (I used 1" and 1 1/4"), mark the places on the door and frame where you're going to drill with a thin scratch awl or tiny brad nail, and hold the door and frame in place. Installation of the pieces and screws is done by drilling the wood. If the tape gives way next year and you wake up in the middle of the night with the thing in your basement, they won't fall down.
As well as creating one for our storage area downstairs, we will make one for our office.
We did a test of these when we first got them, and they are loud as hell! Such items like this offer great clarity, which is great when you are looking for them. I easily heard them go off as he tested each one as I sat watching television in the living room with all the doors to the basement shut. It was easy for me to hear him test each one even though he was downstairs testing them. There are no doubt that these little ionizers are high quality. There is a strong tape on the back to enable them to stick to whatever surface you choose. This keeps them secure and prevents them from moving. As a precaution though, when taking them apart (such as opening a window or door), make sure you plug your ears, so that nobody can sneak into the room. The pros are The sound quality is excellent, the 3M type tape to secure it is very high quality, and it is easy to install and set up. There are none. The next time we buy these, we might end up getting another pack.
Because we did not have a lot of extra money, we chose to put these on the bottom windows and doors instead of hardwiring them. I'm in love with them. I found them to be very easy to install, and they are very loud as well. The kids always cover their ears when I forget to turn the alarm on and open the door! The fact that I can turn it off when I am going in and out (like grilling) and then turn it back on when I am done with it is great for me. This is a simple and easy way to add some safety alarms to your windows and It is my hope that this review was of some help to you. I would appreciate it if you could click YES below if you did!.
My front door was wide open and my screen door propped wide open the other day when I woke up. It was a blessing that Mom was fine and didn't remember opening the door, but I realized that it needed to be so that she would awaken me if this I wanted something like this, and this turned out to be it. This alarm works well, sounding a loud alarm whenever the screen door is opened and it mounts easily along the hinged side of the screen door. If it doesn't need to be used, it can be shut off. The doorbell is surprisingly loud, so I am worried Mom may startle as she will need to get up in the middle of night. However, knowing my mom won't be able to leave the house in the middle of the night helps me sleep better.
