Questions & Answers

Do you plan on providing a version without a homebase for those who do not require The cameras I already have from Eufycam 2C are a part of my Homebase 2. ?

As part of the second quarter of 2020, we plan to release the add-on version without Homebase 2.

How likely is it that this doorbell will eventually be compatible with HomeKit?

It would be great if Apple introduced HomeKit support. In the current HomeKit market, there is no video doorbell that supports it. The Ring had been promising it for years as a marketing ploy. I would also be willing to buy all Eufy products if they pay and pass through the HomeKit process for authorization. Working as an installer of smart systems, having HomeKit certification would set you apart from the competition without a doubt.

Do you know when HomeKit will be supported?

As far as the home kit support is concerned, we are still thinking about it!

Is there local expandable storage available?

The USB port on the Homebase 2 is a must-have feature, which it does not yet have (using the USB port). It has been 85 days since we installed the doorbell, and it has consumed almost 2/3 of the available For a doorbell, this might be okay, but I don't think I'll be able to add any security cameras unless I can add at least 128GB per camera (so 512GB Support for HDDs This is a major oversight, and I'm a fan of Eufy products overall.

The only thing I regret is that I wasn't able to give it It is easy to install If you connect your HOMEBASE to your router using WiFi, you should be able to see your HOMEBASE! If you connect via a wire first, then you can set it up using the app, then you can click settings and you can connect wirelessly
5/5

In the instructions, this is not made clear Optimal surveillance) when it stops. People even leave the screen before You can fix this using custom by setting it to maximum recording time (120s) and zero for rewind If the motion detection option is on, the end recording will start early if there is no motion detected. Here's what you should do to make the most of this doorbell camera. Please accept my thanks for.

The version 1 is worse than the version 1
3/5

I just got it and set it up and I was upgrading from a wired Eufy For my new phone, I set up an activity zone, but motion is detected outside the zone, so my phone is continuously alerting me of vehicles outside the zone. There is no option to fix the wide-angle curve like on version 1. Pre-orders for 3s are not available The recording is the same as in version 1. The recording also appears to be played back at 1, just to top it off. A 25x multiplier. There is no way I can use this software anymore. Don't do it.

For now, it is the only doorbell that supports local storage externally
3/5

A wired connection was available EUFY is the only version of the doorbell, but we continue to be concerned about the fact that the storage inside the doorbell becomes ineffective and lost if The cloud storage seems to be a bit strange to me as well. The pros are This is 1. There is now an external storage device in homebase2
2 where recordings are kept. In addition to being able to integrate with existing doorbell chimes, homebase2 can function as an additional sign. Through the Eufy app, you can select whether or not either chime is to be played. 1. 2. 3. The functionality may be expanded if eufycam is added in the future. Ibid. , p. 4. In terms of video and live steam resolutions, they appear to be near the wired-compatible standard A version only available for the Windows platform. The cons are This is 1. The wired-type is much bigger in size than the wired-type With the inline version (nearly a remote size), while it is true the size of the battery is bigger to accommodate the battery, with the wired setup the battery size is not as critical as with The second paragraph. The angle of view Field of view (49) 1)'s wired-in diameter is nearly a third as big as the wired-in diameter This version is the only one and you may need to get an eufycam to fill in the gaps the new doorbell does not cover. 1. 2. 3. Video resolution setting, HDR, distortion correction, and other features no longer exist on the new wired/wireless version of Eufy. There is something that needs to be addressed sooner rather This is 1. There is a need to improve video recording playback. The object moves twice as fast in fast forward mode when playback is recorded. The system is version 2 of the Homebase 2 platform. The version of the subsystem is 8h. 9) As far as the storage concern is concerned, the newer wired/wireless version is an improvement, but the doorbell itself is an upgrade over the older wired-only version" A version only available for the Windows platform. A wired-type can be used if the older models weren't IF only the homebase2 version can be integrated, it deserves a 5 out of 5.

We have been receiving amazing support from Eufy and Anker! I am amazed at this product
5/5

You can't go wrong with this product! I have tried everything I've been told to try, and it all works as it should! Setup took only a few minutes, and the instructions were very clear. I had one question, and I contacted The call was picked up by Teagan immediately and I was able to get up and running in 2 minutes. If you contact Anker Care in either a phone call or email, they are AMAZING. In terms of their genuine care and willingness to help, Anker Support can give many other companies a lesson. It looked like the folks at this company always put their customers first. So far, everything works perfectly, even my old doorbell, which is from about Then why use a doorbell that is almost 50 years old? One of the old hammers has some xylophone bars both inside and outside, adding to its melodious and warm quality Having already integrated support to use an old doorbell, my hat goes off to Anker and Eufy for adding this feature. The video quality is fantastic regardless of whether it's in full color or infrared if it's in a dark area. Video quality is excellent, and it is simple to search for video as well as to send it to law enforcement or anyone else you wish. You can watch the video on their 16GB HomeBase2, located in your home and connected via wifi, which stores the video According to it, in the future, you might be able to add more storage. Although I doubt I will need more than 16GB, it is nice to know if I do need more then I can always add more to the card. If the doorbell is ever stolen, your video is protected on your local network, so you can watch it from anywhere at any time. A big plus for me is the fact that I do not have to pay a monthly fee to watch my videos. Knowing that the video can only be viewed by me gives me peace of mind. It's possible to respond real-time via two-way communication An audio signal that works both ways is also very nice. Ingenious, this feature allows you to adjust detection zones to your heart's content and it works perfectly. There are a lot of cars zooming by here, but there has not been any detection of cars, just humans. Those who are looking for a security doorbell that works really well and can be supported by a team of support representatives that is unmatched should definitely consider this security doorbell!.
