It didn't occur to me when I bought it that it also came with a solar panel on top and a hand crank on This radio lasted for a long time before it needed to be recharged. We didn't have transistor radios when we were growing up, but the speaker is clear and loud. The product I was looking for wasn't available. There was a radio and light built into what appeared to be a battery charger. Though there's no charger, there is no power source.

It was for my cousin, which I got him as a gift. This is his favorite thing to do. Radio channels are automatically scanned and programmed by the software. There are a lot of bright lights in here. It is very nice that it can be charged by solar and by hand crank. This is a nice one for camping trips. Our next camping trip is looking forward to. It looks like the battery is in good shape. The controls are very straightforward. One thing I would have liked to see was a micro SD card slot for mp3s.
