The son of a friend of mine who is in the US military is stationed in Italy. What are the chances this method will be used in another country besides the United States?

I like how compact the model is when it comes to weather / survival radios
4/5

In a nutshell, Having just received the radio yesterday, it took 6 hours for the batteries to charge fully. In the radio manual, it says that the radio should be charged completely prior to use. It is a small radio with a size of about 7 inches. The length is 5 in and the weight is very light. The material feels soft to the It is probably coated with hard plastic in order to provide a better feel. All the way up to volume 9 the audio is clear. There can only be 12 gallons in a volume. have posted a video so that you can judge the quality of radio sound. This product includes 2 rechargeable lithium ion batteries, each of which has a capacity of 3 mAh. It has a battery capacity of 2000 mAh at 7 volts It also has a AAA battery compartment to provide a second source of power. The battery is not included (AAA batteries It hasn't happened yet, but I would like to try solar charging. There is a lot of clarity in the display. The radio is FM/AM and has a mode called WB (I guess short for Weather Band), and it has a fast tune digital tuning feature. You can also use this device as a portable speaker by connecting it to an Aux line. It is very small to press buttons and play with LED lights. There are engraved labels on all the buttons, but they are When the power goes out, I guess it will be difficult to see them. It would be great if the button labels were bigger and the buttons were illuminated. You get a decent flashlight with it. Vanity ports and ports for output and input are neatly covered with rubber caps. Since it appears to have an exposed speaker, it is not certain if it is water-resistant. Please take this review into account when making a decision about 2020). As soon as I receive more information about battery life and radio receiver strength in the field, I'll update my review.

A power button can be accidentally pressed during an emergency, so it's not great for emergency use
3/5

The one you want should not be taken along or put in a bag or even on the outside of your pack if you intend to move around with it. It is too easy to press the power button on the front. By the time you need it, it has gone dead before you even notice that it was turned on accidentally. It's a poor design in that aspect. If I still had the box, I'd return it. As a whole, If you aren't going to put it in a bag of survival supplies, this is a useful product.

When the weather is bad, this does not work so how is this life saving? In a nutshell, I begged my colleague to screen record the three videos I wanted to give
3/5

Because Amazon only allows you to upload one video per review, I had to screen record the three videos. It worked fine when I first used the program, but now the program is glitchy and There are no other systems beyond the alert system that work. In part one, we'll look at We receive weather alerts as expected and they work properly. Here are the parts 2 and 3 of the article There was a flurry of activity on the volume buttons. With the volume down button, you could increase the volume, and with the volume up button, you could change stations*part I was unable to get a signal from the NOAA weather station during the latest storm. During inclement weather, it provided nothing but static
What is the point of a weather radio if it does not work?
It's a shame Amazon only allows you to return items for 30 days. In the past, we have bought this stuff in advance for emergencies, only to find that it didn't work when we needed it, and then it was.

The new unit has been tested in alert mode and is working
3/5

The first unit kept changing the weather conditions on its own. In a nutshell, This update is Replaced the radio and received it today. With this one, I believe that the root cause of the first problem is resolved. I noted that the radio appears to be staying on the weather station I set it to while in Alert mode (rather than randomly switching stations each time), so I am raising my review score to 3. In this regard, we were facing a major problem. My rating will be raised to 4 or 5 stars once it is corrected that the rapid battery discharge issue is also rectified as well as no other serious issues arise. Throughout my time with this radio, I've encountered two major problems First of all, this is a serious matter. 1) I bought this for its NOAA Weather Alert feature. I did not realize that the radio was changing what station it was listening to without my knowledge, which could have led to disaster. This issue is not present in the replacement. Please note that when the weather alert function is enabled, 162 appears in the left hand panel. The number 40 will remain the same, regardless of the radio Although 162 is not tuned in, the system does not listen to it. There's no need to set it at 40 unless you want It is the 1st radio shown in the video. This is what I set it to in the video You see the display says 162, so you put it on alert, and it says 47. (156 ALWAYS appears in 40. Putting you on alert will cause your heart rate to increase by 40). Once I hit the alert button again, I turned off the alert function, and the radio came on automatically. I could have selected the weather band on the station I left it on, but I have to cycle through the bands to get back to it. However, that's not the case. This is on 162 as well. The number 162 is incorrect. At this station, I have already set up the alert. Now do the same dance, and this time it will get you to Once again, do the dance. The 162 was the target this time. Rather than 162, 47 was the correct number. Once again, do the dance on 162, this time. I'm not talking about 162. I'm talking about 45. This was a totally unreliable system. This is again not the case with the replacement. 2) The first unit displayed an expected 50% battery usage/consumption. After this, it depleted rapidly and emptied within As soon as I opened itm for the very first time, this happened. I also put up the radio on standby alert for the second time after full charging the batteries in the evening, and the batteries were completely discharged by the next morning. It is even time to replace the batteries with a brand new set I just bought, and fully charge those as well. It does not appear that the performance of the groups differed. As far as I know, the problem I received with this order is not unique to the radio I received. In the past, I had the same problem with a radio of a different brand, where when the battery level reached 50% of its capacity on the display, the batteries rapidly depleted. On the other hand, I did not encounter the 1st problem described.

I had a horrible experience at the AM reception
3/5

Here are three things to be thankful for The weather band (WB) appears to work fine, and the volume is fine. I have no problems with the flashlight. The It is extremely difficult to receive an AM signal. The reception on FM is not good. The phone does not have a However, the buttons are poorly marked.

I have no complaints about this product
5/5

So far all seems to working fine, I'm quite happy with it. I've only had it for a short time. It is easy to read and bright since it is lit up by a lighted LCD display. A good sound comes from the speaker, not one that sounds tinny and cheap. This seems like a decently well-made product. This solar panel has a large, wide solar panel on a stable, wide base. It only has one slight negative point the crank handle does not feel very sturdy, and the resistance to cranking is low, suggesting for the most part it does not generate I can turn the crank, but it does not seem to be faulty. It would also be helpful to make the buttons white instead of just black so that the lettering is visible on or below them. Since all of the buttons are black, it's hard to see them in the dark. Although it isn't a big deal since you will quickly become accustomed to the position and shape of the buttons, so you will know which is which by simply feeling them.
