I use laser tape measures daily as part of my job as a HeavyLift Director and HeavyLift Engineer. You should be able to work all the time. If it's bright in the sun, you won't see your "SUPER TINY" red or green dot longer than around 100 to 120 feet away. All of my measurements are within 100ft, so I can put them all together. You can make your laser tape measures run on 18650 batteries, so use two of them and add a wayyy bigger dot laser diode to make them way more powerful! Moreover, 18650 rechargeable batteries are readily available all over the world and outlast AA batteries by 100 times.

Just The Bosch laser from the GREEN Blaze series has finally arrived. It is still enjoyable to use my 50CX Red Line when it is dark, but if lighting is a bit bright, nothing is better than a green laser to SEE. As far as features and functionality go. . . There was nothing working in that app -- it scored 0/5 and did not work at all! So MICH, we went back to MeasureOn Gen 1, which is 30 years old in the app store (and yeah, it is quite old). It's become impossible to locate anywhere with the new MeasureOn app, and it no longer opens at all the new app doesn't even open This was not a shame, due to the fact that I tell you this to try and make sense of it. It's just that these phones have Bluetooth functionality, but "to and for"? My 50CX never worked perfectly with third party apps, and I'm experiencing some of the same issues, but I've gotten some apps that can link to new green blaze's, which is nice, but I can't get the features promised by the MeasureOn App. You won't have to worry if you don't know what you're doing and don't need data sets, etc. . . just don't worry. . . and if you managed to read all that, here's a free tip for you! To get a warranty, you must create a free Bosch account and register your Bosch tools, etc, so do it now, it takes about three minutes. For the first time, it will take 5 minutes. After that, when you get the new tool, sign in, enter your information, and dine in 1 minute. The timer is set for 75 minutes!
