My experience has been great so far. You must ensure that the rack is good to the rest of the system.

When I bought the CA-I thought it would be a good idea No less than perfect was my expectation when it came to 2X4SR. The antenna I used last night allowed me to see a repeater 272 miles away from me, as well as its exceptional build quality. If you have an amateur radio and are looking for a mobile antenna, this would be the best choice for you. You have the choice of the NMO Mounting option (which is what I have) or the PL- Mounting option An optional magnetic mount can be mounted to the 259 mount.
The SWR on all bands is VERY low. GMRS, 2m, and 70cm are shown in the pictures. *There has been NO tuning carried out. I did not notice any wind noise on top of my GMC Grand Cherokee at 70 mph or faster.
The vast majority of VHF is under 2 and up, making rx a complete nuisance. Buyer beware, I think it was showing 5 somewhere around 160. A damaged antenna might arrive to you likewise as I did. The antenna I received already had scratches and Nicks, so you're likely to receive the same damaged antenna that.
It seems to have similar reception to other mobile antennas I've used, but it's the wideband range that's really what I'm after. In section 2, you will find In addition to the advertised spectrum, SWR is 1 on the 220 MHz band. It was not what I was expecting! However, I have yet to test it with the 220 band, but if I remember correctly, it only On my antenna, I have 1 swr across the whole band. The repeater frequency for the GMRS network There are just above 2 of xxx) Despite having one swr, it isn't advertised for transmitting at such a long range, so I can't fault it there. While it seems sturdy enough, I will probably add the optional spring section to avoid bending it if I clip tree branches, etc.
I will add an update after I put it through some more testing.
The rubber seal that went between the antenna base and the NMO mount area is found on every other NMO antenna I have ever owned. This seal served as a means to keep any water out of the NMO mount and to protect the painted surface. In this antenna, there is no seal of the type you describe. The NMO mount does have a rubber gasket (similar to a water hose) that fits between the threaded portion of the Although this will insulate the NMO mount from the antenna, it will not prevent water from getting into the car or keep it protected from rust.
My brother is 26 miles away and I was able to hit him with minimal static despite the antenna appearing to be very well made, I installed it and as it says no tuning needed, I checked it for performance. Then I connected the cross needle swr meter and the reflection meter. I got a maximum of 2 on the two meter and around 1 on the reflection meter. The 8 on 70/60cm is the same as the 8 on 60cm. Since I am a dual bander, I am not sure where to begin with tuning, and since the instructions say that tuning is not needed, I assume that means no tuning support. I'm sure the SWR is fine on some frequencies, just not on those stated.
This antenna is excellent for dual bands. The NMO door mount is perfect for this product. As you can see in the pictures, I was able to purchase the spring. This is a great spring to get. It is a gain antenna with Gain - 1. 25 GHz,I purchased it to replace a dual band antenna shaped like a cell phone antenna. Eighth of June. It's possible to pick up radio stations from a farther distance with 2dB VHF/UHF. On my FT-1000, I use vhf for analog I used a TYT MD that was tuned to UHF and 7800 It is one of the best antennas. There is almost nothing left of it except a faint shadow if you are close enough. A great antenna. I highly recommend it.
The antenna is of excellent quality and provides a wonderful range for mobile radios. It's well-made, well-made, and very well made. A Yaesu 8900 is used with it.
