It is listed as RG 58 on the listing. Ultimately it is the stranded AU that is cheaper. Even so, it is an additional loss of relatively small proportions. The solid core was the only thing I was looking for.
As for the brass disc, it has an O-shaped hole In addition to the simple dust cap that is not watertight, the soldered cable connection also has a ring for the cable connection. In this case, I used gutter sealer to protect the dust cap because otherwise the conductors, solder, and brass bottom are exposed to water all the time. This needs to be addressed if you are using a lip mount or angle bracket that allows some exposure to the weather. You have significantly bigger problems if the underside of your hood, cab, or trunk is wet.
Although I have used several of these I brands in the past, today I got burned by one of them. As soon as I had removed everything in the interior and installed both of these, the reception didn't work. I removed the headliner and all the interior pieces to install them and when I began testing, there was no reception at all. I did some more testing, and found that there was no continuity going The headliner had to be lowered down again and the mount partially removed. When I removed the mount, I noticed a cold solder joint and part of the wire had become disconnected. As soon as I reassembled and reinstalled, it worked fine. You just have to be careful not to damage the components when installing.
Exactly what I was looking for for my ham radio installation. I'm pretty sure this piece is straight forward. On the 2014 Silverado, the cable was long enough to run from the center of roof, along the upper frame between the front and rear doors, across the floor, and across the front and back to the center console, where the radio is located, with spare 4' or so. It took about five minutes to install the piece and I did not have to hold it from the underside to screw it in. I am very satisfied with the performance of this product It is possible to get away with a smaller hole on the roof if you want to put a Pl259 connector on the end. There is, however, a 3/4" hole that can be drilled just big enough for the Pl259 plug end to fit through it.
It was no problem if you used a stepper bit. Installing is simple.
Easy itunes download is simple. I am not going to keep you any longer. The screw-down bezel of this vintage dial features a rubber grommet. Design that is smart. Appearance seems to be good. It is most likely that those gains/differences have to do with It is only right that they do so. This item is of excellent quality and at a reasonable.
I am using it with a large 2 meter tram antenna, and it seems to have worked well. The product is excellent and I would buy it.
I have no idea if it is weatherproof since it's installed through an opening in the vehicle roof, but it does the job. The quality of the build is excellent.
This part could not have been used on my homemade bracket, so I returned it. This is true. It is a very good site for parts. I order one from here every day.
