Yes, and it is extremely loud. It has a lot of hiss and doesn't produce a lot of audio. The sound quality appears to be inadequate. It's a pain, and I'm not fond of it.
I've used similar products before and never had that problem; I'm not sure if it will happen with this one. It's possible that there's a problem with the cassette player in your car.
Hello M. Brothers, since I bought a new car, I no longer use that cassette. If my memory serves me correctly, the cord is about 2 feet long. long. I hope this information is useful.
Congratulations on your achievement. I'm sure you're ecstatic.

Tape adapters, oh my. Have you yet to upgrade your vehicle's technology? Love the sound of a cassette player but lament the fact that no one records on them anymore? This will aid in the dressing of the stab wound. However, this, like a bandaid, will not prevent the impending doom. For the first six months, this worked perfectly, despite my passengers' constant mockery, but then something happened. The sound quality deteriorated further as the cord connecting it to the plug began to fray, crackling my beloved music. Then my beloved cassette player decided to reject the technological bandage and began spitting it back at me. What will become of this seemingly innocuous-looking plastic device from China with an odd brand name? It, along with the box for my new car radio, will most likely be thrown into the abyss of our local sanitation workers' truck.
Scosche is a god to me. I've used a variety of cassette adapters over the years. Only the long-since-discontinued Sony model that my parents had a few years ago comes close in terms of sound quality. I bought a lot of them because I always end up giving my extras away. Every one of my close friends and family members now owns one. Some are in the process of 3- The age of the child is 5. The show is still going strong. The audio quality is comparable to that of an aux port; just make sure your cassette heads are clean!.
Due to the negative reviews, I was a little hesitant to purchase this item, but the price ($5) was reasonable. 99). br>br>I'm pleased to report that this adapter has only ever failed once. We used it in our car, and it performed exactly as described by other reviewers: shifted gears and started auto-piloting rewind. This occurred on the first cold day of the approaching fall season in New England, and my initial conclusion was that this was the cause of the issue. Even as the days have grown colder, it has never failed to play and has never stopped or attempted to rewind. br>br>For most non-musicians, the sound is adequate. Car stereos from well-known brands. I can't tell the difference between this and the previous "Monster" brand adapter, which died. br>br>Given the low price, I would buy this product again; however, if it fails, I will update this review. br>br>*UPDATE
After almost two years of use, it is still running perfectly. It spends the majority of its time in the car, where it is subjected to both hot summers and cold winters. This is a good product that I would purchase again if the need arose.
For a period of approximately four months! First and foremost, I purchased this adapter because the one that came before it had poor sound quality and wouldn't fit into my headphone jack without popping out after a year. br>For the first couple of months, this one was great! The sound was loud, and unlike the other one I had, there was no discernible hiss noise. Then everything started to go downhillnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn br>Because of a "tight tape," this thing keeps popping out of my car's cassette player, and I assumed it was the player. The wheels in this adapter, it turns out, don't even turn in either direction anymore! This is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me. My previous one lasted years and the wheels were in excellent condition; however, this one only lasted four months before it became useless. I was so angry that I threw it out the window as I was driving. I'd get another one if I could, but I'm not willing to take a chance. I'm on the lookout for a replacement. br>I'm not going to tell you not to buy it, but if you want a product that will stop working in a few months, this is it!.
For my truck, I bought a cassette adapter. It is not the one pictured with the coil, and it is black, as other reviewers have stated. Mine had to have been in storage for quite some time, because the 3. The 5mm connector to your audio device (mp3 player, phone, whatever) was oxidized and had a bad connection (intermittent sound, either left or right working but not both, etc. ). I think it'll work fine once I clean it up. br>br>But it beats an FM transmitter any day of the week.
First and foremost, as all of the other reviews have stated, this is a black product with a straight, non-curved design. If the coiled cord was your main reason for purchasing this item, you should look for something else. br>br>The adapter appears to be in good working order - It's incredibly simple to use (especially in comparison to iTrips), and the sound quality is excellent. My only gripe is that when the adapter is turned on, it makes a clicking and grinding sound. This isn't a big deal if you're like me and listen to music loudly, but if you prefer quieter music, the noise can be quite bothersome. br>br>Overall, it's a good deal.
In our older Tahoe, which lacks an auxiliary input for the sound system, this is how we have to connect our iOS devices. I've gone through a lot of these, and they don't seem to last very long before something breaks or goes bad. Some of the wires have developed shorts, and others have convinced the tape deck that the tape needs to be cleaned and/or auto turned over. This one has been trouble-free for a few months, is quiet, and reliably plays music through the sound system. Let's hope it lasts a little longer than it has for other people.
The sound quality is excellent, with no muddiness or warbling, and it is well worth the money. Unlike the competitors, I was looking for a cheap replacement for a broken one when I came across this one. I finally came across this on Amazon and wish I had done so sooner.
