The Maxell Adapter is a device that allows you to connect two devices together to Where can I get VHS tapes? C tapes have reached the end of their useful lives
3/5

Another terrible vote. I decided to give this adapter a chance, assuming that some of the negative reviews were due to user error or defective products. Nope. br>br>It was very simple to install my VHS-C player. In the adapter, put C tape. The adapter itself had a decent design. When I received the VHS-C, I was ecstatic. When I put the C tape into the VCR, I tightened it as instructed (by turning the white sprocket on the back of the adapter with my comically oversized thumb), and it was nice and snug. It lasted two hours and fifteen minutes. The brown tape became loose after 3 seconds, and the VCR eventually ate it. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve the tape from the VCR's mouth and keep my cassette intact, though the tape was wrinkled in spots. I repeated the process two more times, just to see if the results would be different, and my tape was eaten both times. Two photos of the aftermath have been added to the gallery. br>br>That's all there is to it. Although it is simple to insert the small tape into the adapter, it will not play in a VCR. If you have any special memories, I wouldn't risk them with this Adapter of Death.

I was able to break free from the confines of the box
4/5

This is the first of two (possibly) reviews. I'm running out of time, and when I went to use this converter, the left roller that presses the tape out was missing, and there was an obvious broken piece that moved but didn't do anything. So only the right side of the tape is pushed out. br>br>The adapter box was completely sealed, and there were no rollers or pieces anywhere. br>br>At the moment, I'm even more pressed for time to convert these tapes. br>br>I placed a second order for $. I paid an extra $3 for this one because it was 80 dollars more than the first one I ordered. 99 percent of the time, it will be delivered the next day. For some inexplicable reason, Amazon refused to replace it. br>br>I will update this review if the item works and does what it is supposed to.

- Second look. br>br> Maxell VHS-C is a brand new VHS-C player that was released Today I got the C adapter. Although the product was the same, the packaging (I believe) was newer. br>br>This item did not have the broken part that my previous one did, and it worked flawlessly. There was only about one of me. It took 5 hours to convert 5 hours of video onto three tapes, but it was successful. It was a good value for the money. br>br>It's made cheaply and isn't intended for people who are impatient. 1: br>br>2: br>br>3: br>br>4: Make sure the tape doesn't have any slack. I'm not sure what "slack" means to them, but taking this step can't hurt. In the VHS-player's gear hole, put your finger. Turn the C tape counterclockwise. Slowly turn clockwise until resistance is felt. 2: br>br>3: br>br>4: br>br>5: Place the tape in the adapter slowly and carefully, pressing it down evenly, and then wait to see what happens (VHS-C). The C tape door opens) and the tape is flush with the adapter's interior. br>br>3: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words " SLOWLY and evenly close the adapter's door with two thumbs, keeping in mind that there are two rollers that will extend the VHS-C tape. C tape outwards and pull tape out of the VHS-VHS-VHS-VHS-VHS-VHS-VHS-VHS- cassette labeled C If there's a problem, go slowly and don't force it. br>br>For the price, this item gets a 4/5. It would be a 2/5 item if it cost $50.

There were a few difficulties
3/5

This is most likely one of the most straightforward products available - Either it works or it doesn't, that's the only option. With the exception of me on this particular unit, it did and didn't. It actually did the job by allowing me to load an old VHS tape into it. I'm going to use my Panasonic DVD/VHS recorder to play the C cassette. It did, however, record flawlessly to DVD, which was the entire point of purchasing it. However, it gave me fits when I tried to eject it from the machine after it was finished! That was an unexpected snag that was so nerve-wracking at one point that I was afraid I'd have to hire a professional to fix it. This adapter's case is likely to be around. 001 to a point where there is a possibility. 002 thicker than a VHS tape cassette, causing it to "clog" the recorder's insertion/ejection port. In literally thousands of VHS tape insertions and ejections in various machines I've owned, that has never happened to me. This adapter was only required for this one VHS-C tape. The cassette C belongs to a friend. I mailed the DVD I made from it, as well as the original VHS-C tape, after the adapter was transferred and eventually ejected. I gave the C tape and adapter to a friend in the hopes that I would never see them again. Perhaps I had one that should have been rejected at the factory, or perhaps they're all susceptible to such issues. I'm not sure what I'm saying. It completed the task at hand. But I don't want to risk damaging my gear by having to use it or something similar again.

The C has been saved

Reunion of the extended family I was terrified because of the other reviews, but I didn't have a choice because we needed to watch some old family videos and were running out of time to convert them. The only option was to purchase this device and use the existing tapes. br>br>I noticed a pattern after reading the scary stories. Each of them complained about the film slackening and becoming stuck in the machine, which I found to be completely accurate and completely avoidable. Tapes, for those of you who remember them, are pulled through a head unit that transfers images. The film will break if it is squeezed too tightly. If it's too loose, it'll get tangled up in internal components, causing a mess. br>br>The solution was to carefully seat the mini tapes (I didn't care about the brand) and then tighten the tape with my finger by rotating the video crank slightly. I noticed that I had no problems every time I did this. We had a rat nest the last time I didn't do that. br>br>So, yes, these work. No, they're not perfect, but make sure they're properly seated and secured. For me, that was sufficient.
