Questions & Answers

What's the difference between this arsvita abca-02b and this arsvita abca-02b? May 7, 2020 will be the first time the product is available. 01b - When will it be available for the first time on April 16, 2019?

I believe it is WiFi 5.

Is the battery charged while you're using it, or do you have to charge it separately?

It requires its own plug. You can use it once it has been charged. It only works with music audio and not with phone calls.

I've tried using a Bluetooth adapter plugged into a cigarette lighter to listen to a radio station, but the sound quality is always poor. Is there a difference in quality?

Yes, I used to have the same poor-sounding device, but this Bluetooth tape player sounds a LOT better.

Is there only one speaker that is producing sound? Is this a problem for anyone else? I'm debating whether or not to return for a replacement. thx?

There is only one speaker that produces sound.

Do not be apprehensive about giving it a shot
5/5

I was hesitant to buy it because of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. This is being used on a factory radio from a 2001 Volvo V70 XC. It appears to be fantastic! I'm not hearing the loud noise that everyone else is talking about, and it's playing in stereo (both sides). This is a fantastic purchase. I'll most likely purchase another. I strongly advise you to give it a shot!.

I couldn't get it to play in my RV's cassette player, but it was a great service
5/5

They were fantastic and sent me a second one right away. It didn't work either; both would pair with my phone but not play, and I didn't have another cassette player with which to test them. It's possible that it's my player. They were extremely accommodating, offering to refund my money and stating that there was no reason for me to return the item. If only all customer service was as good as this, the world would be a much better place.

For a single trip, it worked flawlessly
3/5

I read the reviews and hoped that I wouldn't have to deal with mono sound or poor audio quality. br>I charged it up and took it on a quick trip around town. I got sound from all of the speakers, and while it wasn't the best sound quality, it was more than adequate for a $20 gadget. br>Unfortunately, it didn't work again after that. I assumed the battery had died, but it still won't turn on after a long charge (the led glows while charging). I tried several times after that to see if it would come back to life, but it didn't. It's not worth the trouble to go back. If I get bored, I might disassemble it and see what's gone wrong.

It's the second time in a row that I've had a dud
3/5

I'm not pleased with myself. I was expecting this product to work based on the positive reviews. I bought it to listen to music in my Toyota Camry from 2001. Because my phone lacks a headphone jack, I figured wireless headphones would be more convenient. br>br>I received it, fully charged it, and put it to the test. The sound was distorted and eerily silent. To even hear the music, I had to crank up the volume on both my car and my phone. I contacted tech support to make sure I couldn't fix the problem (the answer was no) before returning and getting a replacement because this is in a tapedeck where other tapes and similar transmitters work fine, as tested at the same time as I was testing this product. The sound was a little louder when the replacement arrived (which I ALSO charged fully before trying), but it was still garbled, tinny, and far too quiet. There isn't much bass. Background vocals and instrumentals are either barely audible or completely absent. br>br> I simply cannot listen to my music in this manner. br>br>I'm not going to try a third time; I returned it and received a refund this time. br>Either I'm unlucky or this item has a high likelihood of being defective.

This is the best Bluetooth adapter I've ever used
5/5

I have an older car stereo with no Bluetooth, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new one. I'm so glad I bought it; I couldn't be more pleased. It sounds great when paired together and there are no wires hanging out. Bluetooth version 5. The value of 0 is positive. Unlike some reviews that claim there are noise issues with the gears inside, mine is extremely quiet. If you need a Bluetooth adapter, this is the one to get.

I was able to pair my phone with my speakers via Bluetooth, but the sound was uneven
3/5

While the device was working, sound was being played back through my speakers in a very uneven manner. When my speakers were set to play from both sides, I couldn't hear anything from the drivers' side speakers, and when I moved the slider to the left side only, the sound from the left speakers was very quiet. When I have a tape in the deck or the radio on, my speakers work normally.

Audio quality is poor
3/5

It was simple to set up and connect to, but it sounded terrible in my 2002 Subaru WRX. The audio would only play on one side of the car, and it sounded staticky and tinny. I managed to get it to sound decent through all of the speakers once, but it was still bad. There was no bass, and if there was, it sounded distorted, as if it was cutting out and the connection was bad. br>br>I know it isn't a bad connection or something wrong with my cassette player because I still have a wired cassette adaptor, which sounds good and clear, as well as the regular radio. br>I even contacted Amazon for a replacement in case I had received a faulty unit, but I had the same issues. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: br>I purchased an FM transmitter that is powered by the cigarette lighter. There are no complaints about how well it works.

Excellent sound quality and a simple way to add Bluetooth to an older vehicle
5/5

In a 2004 Honda CR-V, I purchased the Arsvita Car Audio Bluetooth Wireless Cassette Receiver to pair with the factory stereo. I first tried a Bluetooth FM transmitter, but I wasn't happy with the sound quality, and I didn't like the hassle of constantly changing frequencies/stations to find unused frequencies when traveling even a short distance. The Arsvita's sound quality is far superior to my expectations, with crisp highs and a solid foundation. On the car stereo, I tweaked the bass and treble controls a little, and I turned off Dolby noise reduction, which is only for Dolby encoded cassettes. I'd say the sound quality and frequency range are comparable to CDs, which is far superior to FM radio. You can hear the cassette tape motor turning and a constant humming noise coming from the speakers if the engine is off or idling, if the car is not moving, and if the music volume is turned down. However, as soon as you turn up the volume or get moving, even the tiniest amount of tire and road noise drowns it out, making it almost unnoticeable. The ability to stream music from your phone is well worth the investment. I've successfully paired it with a Samsung Galaxy S9, but the Arsvita turns itself off when not in use, so you'll need to turn it on every time you get into your car if you want it to connect to your phone. It's also not possible to use it and charge it at the same time.
