Ipevo Ziggi-HD Plus High-Definition USB Document Camera (Discontinued and Upgraded to IPEVO V4K)

on activities involving mathematics I recently transferred to a new school that lacked these, or any, document cameras. I thought I could get by without one for a week, but after that, I realized I'd become completely reliant on using a document camera in my daily teaching. As a result, I went out and purchased one for myself. I didn't want to spend $100 on one (at my previous school, the corporation had purchased them for use by the teachers). It was fantastic), but it all came down to the quality of my instruction, which was well worth the money. The only thing I would change about this item is that the cord can be a little cumbersome when stretched across a few feet to get where I need it to be (I plug it into a USB port on my desktop computer and then use it on top of my kidney shaped table where I work with the kids), but I wasn't expecting it to be wireless or anything, so that's not a defect with the product, just a wish if I could have the perfect document camera that would fit into a pocket br>On my SMART board (which is similar to a Promethean board), I can zoom in on a page with size 12 font and enlarge it. from a whiteboard (basically an interactive whiteboard) to letters that are more than a foot tall I usually place it at a distance that allows me to show the entire page we're working on so the kids can follow along. It can move into an infinite number of positions thanks to its flexible arm. I also enjoy the auto focus feature, which comes in handy when the display is shaky. Finally, I just used the screen capture feature today when I needed to keep something on the screen for the kids while also needing the space for something else. I was able to screen capture the page that was being displayed and then move the document camera to clear the space (though the kids were still able to see the image that I had screen captured). br>Of course, I would recommend this document camera to anyone looking for one. I've now owned two of them and have thoroughly enjoyed both of them. I tried to live without one for a while, but as a teacher, this is a must-have!.

Ipevo Ziggi is a fictional character created by Ipevo Ziggi. HD is without a doubt the most cost-effective and basic presenter camera I've ever used. It is portable and light. able to use, and it's incredibly simple to do so. It is nearly devoid of extraneous features and, in general, performs admirably. Advantages: br>br> br>Visual quality is excellent. br>There are only a few things to tinker with or set. It's simple and effective. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. It's portable, but the shipping cardboard box takes up more space than, say, a more expensive compact presenter. br>A light would be nice for presenting in darker rooms. br>It's portable, but the shipping cardboard box takes up more space than, say, a more expensive compact presenter. br>The only thing you might need to adjust is the contrast, because the dynamic range isn't particularly high. This is an excellent presenter. br>br> It's an excellent USB camera that connects to your computer and performs as expected. A few things could be improved (low-light performance, dynamic range, and a low-light light, to name a few). All of this is minor compared to the raw value provided by the low price.

Before writing a review, I wanted to give it a few months' worth of use. (I have a pet peeve:) Reviewers who rush to write a review after using a product for less than an hour are likely to receive the most "helpful" clicks simply because they were the first, but they are also likely to be the least useful. br>br>I used this almost every day in my classroom (Algebra II honors). Even in low-light situations, it performs admirably. I'll turn the lights on and off depending on what we're doing, but the Ziggi can project a clear image without any additional lighting in either case. br>br>I did notice that in order to get the best image fit, you should place the Ziggi to the side of what you want projected. If you put it on top, you'll have to change the aspect ratio, which results in a fuzzier image. The arm sockets are still stiff after heavy use and hold whatever position I put them in, so they're still usable. There is an auto-focus feature on the camera. You don't have to go to your computer to refocus because there's a focus button on the top. br>br>It functions flawlessly, and I have no complaints. This is something I would confidently recommend for use in the classroom.

This device does not appear to be compatible with Windows 10. I've installed and uninstalled every version of their software, had our IT people look at it, and had a "chat" with the company, and it continues to work inexplicably. I've had it twice now where a picture of the item is visible beneath the screen. The software simply turns on at other times. and off. and on. AND THERE WAS NO PICTURE. I intended to use this for teaching purposes, so I'll need something a lot more dependable and less finicky than this. It's back to square one. I was dissatisfied because I had high hopes for this film. My other complaint (which I could live with) was that it was never truly full screen. On the side, there were always black margins of unused space. The zoom was adequate, but not exceptional. It's similar to the iPhone. In the process of attempting to get this thing to work, I discovered that it must be plugged into a POWERED USB port, and that if you plan on using an extender, it must be plugged into a POWERED USB port as well. Purchase their brand because it must also be a powered extender. br>Perhaps, in the future, it will be more software-friendly and better suited to the classroom. Bummer- I had been anticipating this for a long time.
