The cover appears to be of good quality so far. This vest snaps on very easily, but I have not yet tried to go down the road wearing it. The screen guard is a high-quality piece of plastic that appears durable, but is only there as a protective layer to shield the screen from accidental contact. A design that tilts up to cover the screen from sun and still allows some visibility of information on the screen would be much more suitable for me. Based on what I know about this item, I would estimate its true value at approximately $5. Once you have purchased the Elite 7 unit, a cover should be automatically included. The item does not have to be used as soon as you purchase it. Since there is no after-market part number for this item, here it is if you would like it. The product was great and the price was reasonable but I was forced to return it once received due to the requirement of the description that stated it would fit a Hook 7" but it did not fit my newly acquired Since this has been removed from the description, it is great to see that this has been addressed. someone with an Elite 7 is satisfied with this product.
I like how it fits. My depthfinder is captured as it snaps over. Perhaps it could be improved by adding a velcro or adjustable safety strap to ensure the boat is more secure while being towed.

It does what it says and blocks the sun well. It is compatible with Hook 7.
The hook 7 of my boyfriend fits perfectly in this. The Elite series seems to be the best, but I was hesitant that it would only work with the Elite series.
It stays put after being snapped on. The product is of high quality.
