I do not pretend to be an audiophile, but I have a lot of vinyl, and I enjoy listening to it. I also care for my phono and like to know it is set up correctly. It has always been difficult for me to find the correct balance with the usual standard procedure for balancing the tone arm, so I decided to buy a miniature scale to measure my progress. I find it very satisfying to be able to measure the balance in my estimation. Apparently, I had a bit of a balance issue. It's not much, but I now know that I'm on the right track. In my lab and home, I have several calibrated balances (scales) that I use as part of my scientific experiments. My calibrations of this unit were very close to those of two of my calibrated balances - its accuracy is rated 96. 8%.
