It was frustrating to run into and run out of the store. I tried it out, but it didn't work out in my setup, so I believe those negative reviews at odds with the professional reviews on the web are quite accurate. As the saying goes, YMMV. Finally, I ended up purchasing the Grado Black/2 and it performs better than any of the others. In essence, it contains all the characteristics of the stock cart, but is calmer and more forgiving in comparison with it, and still a huge upgrade over the stock cart and a perfect match for the Fluance RT80 without any alterations.

As for my aesthetic, I prefer a more laid back sort of sound instead of something overly bright and energetic. I kept hearing about the 2m Red in that manner. A bright day. It took me a long time to make up my mind, but I eventually did. This was a VERY easy installation on my Technics Headshell. This was the best part. I installed it and made it line up on my MK2 1200. This will be my first record on it and I'm extremely excited. George Benson Breezin is the choice I made. I am amazed! I was wrong about what I thought this would sound like. With the light shining brightly, it was crystal clear and crisp. This is a very well rounded sounding album. As you might imagine, my mood skews towards a very modern vibe. Every time I listen to an album, I have a thought in my head that makes me think of analog sounds. Imagine if you will that there is an evolution of sound in this. The problem is that it is not digital. The record blows away the CD version of Breezin, and I did a side-by-side comparison with the CD version of the track.
