Questions & Answers

When you use this adhesive to attach the diamond stylus to the cantilever, is it safe?

There are two things to keep in mind I requested Audio-related information by email Here is the direct question from Technica Is 607a a compatible cartridge for the "ART1000" from the company? You are looking at the cartridge with moving coils, which has them attached directly to the cantilever just above the stylus. Answering that it is not preferred, they did so by recommending their other product, which is not a liquid AT617a cleaner. The second is My favorite moving coil cartridge is the AT607a and I use it on another rolling coil cartridge of standard construction. The cartridge has become a staple for me for the past 20 years, I use it daily (can't think that the diamond is still functioning, but it is, perhaps due to the AT607), and I have never encountered any problems using the original AT607 and its replacement. With the newer 607a formula, there is a diamond bond added.

How can I remove the rust from my diamond stylus with this?

There's no way for me to tell if it will remove rust. It's designed to remove lint and dust. Soft residue picked up by the machine while playing an old product that has been around since the 1970s or 1980s, and it works well for keeping Rust, however, is unlikely to be removed by it.

The formula for the 607 costs a dollar more, how does it differ from the 607 formula?

That's what it is, I'm quite sure. Since I've been using this product for over 30 years, it has provided excellent results.

Does this little bottle of water and alcohol, price at $20, function as a nail polish bottle is filled with alcohol and water? If I had 10x less money to spend, I could make 100x more. ?

You got it! The name of the brand is what you are paying for. In reality, though, you don't pay just for water, you pay for everything.

At607a) is not a secret (it is just ethanol alcohol) but it is ideal for the task
4/5

This results in a much smoother and more pristine sound after the stylus is cleaned. Of course, before applying it one should first remove any dirt that has built-up on the stylus (I usually apply it after cleaning it with Boundless Audio Stylus Cleaner Brush). There is a brush attached to the bottle. It is important to remember, however, that shellac is not recommended for records If you use alcohol, let it evaporate off the stylus first so as to not damage the grooves. I just thought I would mention that.

This is a superb product from a trusted company
5/5

I have been using a dry brush and dropping the tip into zerodust gel cleaner exclusively for years, as alcohol and other harsh chemicals usually found in liquids can eventually cause the adhesive holding the diamond tip to the cantilever to breakdown. I have thought about this lately. I concluded that it would probably take a longer time to develop a problem because the stylus itself eventually needs to be replaced. In addition, I switched back to moving magnet carts a few years ago, so the stylus is user replaceable, and there have been times when I have needed to use a liquid product. Aside from water and alcohol, the ingredients are fairly straightforward. really like how you did that audio- In contrast to off-brands that conceal their ingredients, Technica reveals the ingredients right away. AT cartridges are a favorite of mine, and I trust their expertise in the field. As such, it was a matter of trust and loyalty to Audio-Technica that helped me decide on this product For properly caring for my VM 540 ML stylus, I will use the Technica brand. You should not use too much and remove all excess after dipping by wiping the brush off the edges of the bottle, as the instructions state. Also comes in a little brown glass bottle, a little detail, but even the packaging of the fluid has a sense of quality. It is Japanese, and it is well packaged without any It is Amazon distribution's unceasing shipping of very small packages in absurdly oversized boxes and envelopes that is my biggest complaint. Their logistics are a concern, and I would appreciate if they addressed it. Using this could make an impact on Amazon's bottom line as well as the environment.

There is no problem
5/5

Buying a tiny bottle of stylus cleaner at such an expensive price was a concern for me. My AT stylus and cartridge were quite expensive (to me) so I felt it would be a good idea to trust AT to sell me a cleaner that would not damage my stylus. In general, I purchase records that are in Near Mint condition or better, even when cleaned. But even after cleaning, there is still a lot of microscopic grime deep within the grooves. Upon rubbing my stylus against my hand, my stylus began to attract "fuzz," probably because it was coated with a thin layer of gunk from a long time ago. Taxes and shipping were included in the 30+ bucks I spent. It's great to finally have done it as my stylus stays clean much longer now, and I get to enjoy more distorted, static-free sound. I've now got my records sounding the way they were supposed to. The AT-201 I have from Audio Technica is the best I've ever had Stereo system with LP7 turntable and Audio-CD player Stereo turntable cartridge manufactured by Technica called the VM540ML/H MicroLine. The Audio Technica HiFi gear I have been using has been superb, so I am delighted with this near-microscopic bottle of stylus cleaner and the That's what you need to know. There will be no need to replace it for.

Works well and is simple to use
4/5

This cleaner is great for cleaning vinyl records. When the sound on my Vinyl records gets muddy, I wipe the stylus with it and BANGH! the sound is transformed! Despite the lack of bells and whistles, I could do without the brush on the head, which is too small, as well as the color of the stylus, since with my old eyes, I often cannot see it, and the whole process becomes hit or miss. The cleaner, however, does its job well as mentioned earlier.

The brush was much less effective at clearing off the grime from the diamond than the powder
5/5

I get a lot of old records, and sometimes the cleaning does not reach the grooves enough, so the diamond gets dirty. I love this stuff. We know it works well and can back it up with a track record. As a whole, AT is a good company. I have never been disappointed with anything I have purchased from AT,.

A stylus cleaner for your T
5/5

My previous use of the product confirmed that it works as intended. There are several stylus cleaners available, and this is one of the less expensive ones, as well as Audio-Clean. Considering that Technica is one of the leading suppliers of cartridges,I wouldn't expect any adverse effects when I use.

Puts an end to I sometimes take out the cartridge and gently clean the needle when my LP skips, with everything adjusted to specs, and the LP is clean with a quality brush
5/5

If another step does not work, I remove the cartridge and clean the needle gently, and voila! No.

You did a good job
4/5

The cleaner seems to work fine, although it appears to be mostly alcohol, so I'm unsure if it's better than third-party stylus cleaners. The nail polish comes with a brush so that you can apply it directly. *Nevertheless, shipping arrived very quickly, and the product was packaged in a way to prevent spills.
