This fine stylus has the above-mentioned feature. This cartridge's sound is well-known, but I'd like to focus on something else: the ease with which the stylus can be changed Friction is used to connect all of the fittings. If you squeeze and pull in the intuitive direction, the old stylus will easily come off. Unless you have a very sharp topological mind, keep the old one around to figure out the new one's orientation. The new stylus fits easily once you've found the right direction. Now for the good part: there's a stylus cover that also comes off with a small pull in a direction that's not the same as the direction in which the stylus is mounted. To put it another way, you can't mess up the stylus's orientation when you take the cover off. Thank you so much, Ortofon!.
It does exactly what it says. I'm not sure why the stylus is nearly as expensive as the cartridge.
Yes, there are better performing cartridges and styli available, but ortofon has a distinct sound that many of us enjoy. I am one of those who enjoys the subtle quarks and moments of audio bliss that this cartridge and styli can reproduce under the right circumstances for the money, and I am more than satisfied with the red's performance. Just take the time to set up your cart according to your turntable specifications, and you should be a happy audio camper.
a test of sorts After using Ortofon's Blue cartridge/stylus for the previous year and a half, I switched back to Red. It's not entirely up to you - It came down to the price difference. Plus, since the Blue costs more than twice as much as the Red, I wanted to see if I could tell a difference in sonics that was worth the money. br>br>Because the 2m cartridge works with both, I was able to simply swap out the stylus. After the break, I'm looking forward to seeing what you've come up with. During this time, I came to the conclusion that the Blue provided a more realistic, lifelike experience, particularly with the highs. Miles Davis is one of my favorite musicians. This is significant. br>br>However, the Red is an excellent entry-level option. I first went with Ortofon about three years ago on the advice of an audio guru who overheard me complaining about the sound quality of my Music Hall USB1 turntable. He was absolutely correct. Replacement of the factory-installed speakers resulted in improved sonics. The results of using the Red cartridge were dramatic and undeniable. Then there was Blue, who made things even better. It is impossible to make a mistake. br>br>There are a few people who believe the Red (rather than the Blue) is the better delivery system, and I'm glad to hear that. But, nah. I'll most likely return to Blue next year, but only after spending many hours listening to my old pal Big Red.
My turntable is of this brand and model. I'd like to know if there is a better turntable cartriddge in this price range than the Ortofon Red, but I'm unaware of any.

Within three days, I received my package. This is the needle that will be used in my pro-bono project. I was concerned that the turn table would be damaged during shipping. However, the needle was packaged in a very good and secure box. br>br>The Ortofon 2 meter needle is fantastic. It produces a very clean and crisp sound. br>The advantage is that we don't have to take the needle to a repair shop if it breaks. Replacing this needle is a simple task. br>I'd give it a 5 out of 5 for construction quality. br>The sound quality is a four out of five on a scale of one to five. Simply because I've heard needles that sound better. However, sound is a highly personal experience. br>It's a fantastic needle in general.
love it! This was included with my turntable, and I accidentally brushed up against the stylus, breaking it and having to replace it, which I did. love it - It sounded fantastic and was a breeze to change out!.
