Your turntable seems to be a very nice vintage model. It is important to consider many factors when choosing a cartridge. I would also like to know what kind of speakers / receiver you have, what condition your albums are in, and what your budget is. The Audio Technica VM 540ML is the perfect record player for those who value vinyl and wish to keep it in good condition. It works about as well as I expected for most purposes. I find it more useful as a tool to align the azimuth of the stylus' tip than a VTA tool per se. Since you'll need some kind of magnifier to perform the task correctly, the item itself is not very useful. major disappointment with this item is that it appears identical to several Chinese made versions of it you can find online for a much lower price. The company is very proud of the fact that it makes items in the U. S. However, this particular item does not meet that requirement China is a cheap place to make it, so a premium price is not worth it.
