Why haven't I known about them all my life? Including shipping, I bought them on Amazon for $118 last week
5/5

What kind of sound quality could a pair of speakers with that price be? I will tell you what I found out. Those who saw this must have thought it was amazing. It has been 40 years since I became an audiophile. The way I buy speakers has always been to listen to the best available speakers, ones I can't possibly afford, then work my way down to speakers within my budget, which I want to sound as close to my "dream" speakers as possible. In a nutshell, these speakers are well-constructed and solid The sound is warm and accurate, and the instruments are well made. In a price range up to $500, they can easily compete with speakers well, compete is not really the right word. . . blow the doors off speakers in that price range would be a better description. If you were blinded to which speakers were being heard in a side-by-side comparison, I would even say that there would be no difference between the two studies based on the results You may decide that they are better than speakers in the $1000 range when comparing them side by side. Absolutely! I agree! That's what I said! This really had to be said these little buggers are extraordinary. I am not sure what Sony did to them, but they are fabulous. One week after its release, the price has increased to $148. And it's not just on Amazon. . . everywhere. Could they still be worth it? I'm not sure what made them jump $30 over night, but they seem to have improved. I would be willing to pay double after hearing them. By the way, I am using them as the main speakers in my two-way This is a channel scenario, not a surround scenario. Very impressed, and they can't even be said to be "broken in". The following are excellent bookshelves that you might be interested in If you're looking for large speakers, look no further. This is the deal of the century. . . don't be fooled by the low price. I hope all is well with you.

This is impossible, how can it be? My specialized technical knowledge and audiophile sense do not match up, but I do like and can tell the difference between good and bad components by listening to them, Both of my home theater setups included power conditioners and various Sony components with execrable wiring and Polk speakers and subs
5/5

My desktop setup is modest, using a Fosi Audio DAC, a V2 50x50 amp and a P1 tube preamp. A tube amp that has been upgraded. A star quad RCA cable and twisted pair speaker wire in 12 ga are used to connect all speakers. To stream Hi-Def video, I am using my laptop With the Equalizer APO/PEACE software, you can stream audio in high resolution via USB. In summary, this is a very good and affordable setup that sounds very clean. I have been using my LSi7 $800/pair bookshelf speakers with my BIC F12 subwoofer for a while. Is that overkill for a desktop set-up? I guess so. I saw these Sony 3 ways for $73/pair on sale. Reviewers have very good things to say about them. LSi7's hadn't been in their surround positions for a while, so I wanted them to be able to return to their original It wasn't that exciting for me because I was expecting a downgrade in sound quality. I do not want to spend a lot on a desktop setup that is either for listening to high music or for listening to radio. What I want to tell you right now is this. It sounds better than my Polk LSi7 speakers with these Sony SSCS5s! The soundstage is bigger and the separation is better, providing a more detailed sound. This is impossible, how can it be? $73 for three months. How much is a pair of shoes? I can't resist. These sound amazing, and I couldn't get enough of them. My attention is drawn to the Rippingtons - I highly recommend the album Built to Last. I am stunned and amazed at what I just experienced. So, I guess I will do all my critical listening from here on out? There will be a need for therapy for me.

It is astonishing

Here's a short and sweet message for you. The veritable Adcom GFA is currently in my possession The 5802 amp, GFP-equipped There are 750 pre-release copies The new HAP-equipped amplifier from Sony The Teac TN-XI is a streaming music player, powered by 1Zes It was feeding Thiel CS2 from 400 turntables. There are 3 speakers and a SVS subwoofer. As a speaker owner, I have owned Definitive Technology speakers, NAD speakers, and Rotel speakers. As part of my college graduation present to my music-major friend, I am working on a gift that should - I am a loving father and wanted to buy the best I could for around $2k for everything I needed. Initially, I was skeptical about these Sony SSCS3 speakers, but they are now on their way to me in exchange for Definitive Technology M65 speakers. There will be no opening of those. It is time for them to go With a price tag of $159 each, these Sony towers are truly amazing. It is better to run than to can guarantee you, you will not be able to buy these at this price three They are in fact just as good as my Thiels, and I am actually a little annoyed by that.

That's so cool

Then, after reading dozens of reviews, researching dozens of speakers, even trying to convince myself that my Polks sounded decent, I decided to give this pair a try. The opportunity to buy them just couldn't be passed I ordered them for $73 the next day, and they were on my doorstep within 24 hours. They were pitted against the Polk Audio 5 during my audition. When I hooked up the 25" bookshelf speakers I bought in the early 2000s to two receivers, it was like night and day. Their current source of power is a Sony STR-S9 This pair of speakers from the 70s have a flat tone setting, and they fill the room with sound that should have been handled by speakers much larger. I did not feel the need to add a subwoofer to the setup, since the bass is better than expected. With the two other more modern receivers, however, the bass was lacking when they were set flat. In comparison to the older receivers, the new models don't have the same warmth to them, although neither are even remotely high-end receivers, so that may be to blame. It has come to my attention that these speakers are worth much more than I would have paid for the sound they produce. Those aren't the kind of speakers I expected from Sony. The walk-in speaker is making me wonder if I should have gone for the floor speaker.
