Questions & Answers

What would be a good subwoofer to pair with the 1280dbs on a budget? Please give me some advice. ?

The Dayton SUB-II was purchased by me. I bought an 800 for a hundred dollars and put it under my computer desk. The outcomes are quite good. The sub was a little underwhelming at first, but it's getting better with break-in time. I built stands for the Edifiers to get the tweeters at ear level on either side of a 27" curved monitor, and I toed the speakers inwards for the best sound. It's a very, very satisfying near-miss with the Dayton sub. For around $240, you can get a field sound system.

Is there a power cord included with this?

Yes, the right speaker has a built-in power cord. It comes with all of the cables you'll need to get it up and running.

Here are a few pointers to help you get the most out of your first day with these amazing speakers
5/5

The sound quality is excellent for the price, as other reviewers have stated. So here are some pointers for your first meeting with these speakers: br>1) The Bluetooth light is located on the upper left hand side of the right speaker's front. At the very least, I persevered in my search for the red power-up. The light will turn blue when it comes into contact with it. br>2) If you have multiple Bluetooth devices that you want to connect, try each one until one connects. My Android and Apple phones did not connect at first, but my laptop connected right away. After that, when you turned on the Bluetooth, all of your devices connected seamlessly and quickly. br>3) Because only the right speaker is powered, a speaker wire connects the right and left speakers. The left channel will be deafeningly quiet unless you use this wire. Although it may seem self-evident, I associate Bluetooth with wireless technology. br>4) The bass and treble equalizers are very effective, and I find that setting them both to " 4" gives me the needed bass punch and treble clarity without muddying the midranges. For a $140 speaker, it's pretty good. br>5) These are ideal for small spaces, such as an 8 x 12 room. If you're in a larger room, stay close (between 4 and 10 feet away), as others have suggested. )br>6) Have a great time.

For a small space, this is a good sound

Think about where you want your speakers to go and how far apart you want them to be. I bought these as bookshelf speakers and was pleased with the advertised features. It was simple and painless to pair Bluetooth devices. free. The speakers come with a variety of cables that you may or may not need, which is always a plus. br>br>At first, I had them about 8 feet apart, on opposite ends of bookshelves, and I had major phasing issues. Everything, particularly vocals and everything in the midrange, sounded loud but weak. Moving them closer improved the sound quality, and it appeared that putting them on opposite ends of the same shelf, about 3 feet apart, was the sweet spot. Keep this in mind when shopping for speakers, especially nearfield monitors, which appear to be more prone to placement issues. br>br>I listened to a mix of vinyl through the Line-In jacks on the back (using the built-in preamp on my turntable) and then used the Bluetooth link to listen to Spotify. I ended up raising the treble just a smidgeon and the bass a smidgeon more, and I was very pleased with the overall sound. It isn't a lack of space; rather, it is a lack of filling, and a few favorite parts of favorite songs that I could easily pick out on full-length recordings On these, the smaller speakers got lost in the mix, but that's just me nitpicking. picking. They're good speakers, especially for the price. br>br>At the end of the day, these are a great upgrade from your standard bluetooth receiver. Anyone who listens to music primarily through their phone or laptop speakers will notice a significant difference once they hear the sound produced by dedicated drivers.

However, it was a fantastic purchase
5/5

The original plan for these speakers was to use them as bluetooth speakers in my living room, streaming music from my tablet via Spotify. Then a friend told me that the best sound comes from a wired connection. So, armed with this knowledge, I moved these into my bedroom, where my computer is, and hooked them up with the analog wire; then I bought a new sound card with a digital out, and began using these wired to the computer with the digital output wire. Please note that, as far as I can tell from my research, this is the only model that Edifier makes that has a digital output, a coaxial output, and a sub-woofer output. a model that is all-in-one That was the final straw for me when it came to this model. I'll be honest, I wasn't completely blown away by these at first; the mids were excellent, the highs were excellent, but the bass output was only just adequate. I was about to return these and give up because the drums sounded like a cardboard box being smashed. The drums had an unnatural, cold sound. So, on the advice of a close friend, I bought a subwoofer and connected it to the right speaker's sub output. Everything fell into place for me at this point, and these speakers soared in terms of sound reproduction. If you're looking for a good budget subwoofer, the Dayton SUB-100 is a great choice. It has an output of 800 watts, or 80 watts total. Today, I can't imagine using anything other than these speakers and a subwoofer on my computer. Now that I have a subwoofer, the cardboard drum sound is no longer audible. My personal experience gave me the best sound these speakers had to offer.

I recently bought a set of the 1700bt for mixing on my desk. They made me fall in love! I was transporting them from my work apartment to my other apartment so that I could mix after work. To avoid causing damage to the 1700s, I decided to try these at the Edifier price point. Today, I received them. Simple setup with the option to add a sub if desired. At full volume, the volume is quite impressive, with good clarity and minimal distortion. I like to experiment with EDM music, and these headphones do a fantastic job of handling it. My 1700s have a slight advantage in terms of highs and some vocals, but these have some bass for their size! Again, these aren't something Afrojack or Steve Aoki would have in their studios, but for $140 delivered to your door, find me better ones! If I find a substitute for them, I'm sure I'll get a call from the office about noise complaints!.
