Questions & Answers

Can you tell me about the impedance and frequency response of the speaker?

A total of 60 - 8 Ohms It is worthless to have a response curve that ranges from 24,000 Hz to 24,000 Hz, but without decibel variability. It does seem to be the case It is 65 Hz that has a 3db useful low end. This product is good for personal use in a small room such as a bedroom or computer office about 10 feet by 10 feet. My guitar is set up loud and with a little bit of bass to give a nice balanced sound on most music. Although they can still be used for normal listening even without a subwoofer, they do benefit from pairing with one. You would have to spend at least twice as much on speakers if you wanted better ones. It is important to note that throughout the year, Amazon and Best Buy will often have these on sale for about $49 for the pair, so I purchased mine that way, so that makes them even better. Having tested lots of small bookshelf speakers, I would say Boston Acoustics at $250 for the pair would be the ones that would offer anything that would be better. You could also check out Klipsch or JBL speakers. However, they have grown on me quite a bit since I got them for $49 and played with them for the first few hours. Do note that overly loud music can result in some rucking from the little 5 in them if you play them too much. The 25" woofer is too much for a pair of 1.25" speakers. You just have to use some common sense and set realistic expectations for such small speakers.

Is it better to use a small or a large speaker when setting my receiver to this speaker? Introducing my Yamaha RX-2000 This is set to Large by the automatic calibration of the V581. ?

This depends on the receiver you have. The question is old, but if any one can benefit from it, it would be greatly appreciated. older receivers permit you to select the size of the headphones, while many newer receivers (within the past several years) may also allow you to change the crossover settings for every If your sub crossover is set at 150 hz, then what that means is that your other bass speakers should hear what the sub left behind. This will allow you to have "crossover" at 150 Hz on your other speakers. Speakers such as these will be able to play frequencies upward of 150 hz. In this case, if you set your sub for 80 hz, and your other speakers at 150 hz, you will miss all of the sounds between 80 and 150 hz. this to say, if you have your speakers set to small, you will need to check your receiver's manual to see what the low frequency cutoff is. You should know what your sub crossover should be set at so you can adjust it accordingly. You won't lose parts of your sound in this way.

To use these, do you need a receiver? Is there a way to just hook my television up?

There are a few TVs I have seen with speaker outputs, but they're rather It would be labelled "External Speakers" or something like that on your TV if it had those. Unless you have a receiver or at least a power amplifier, it isn't possible.

Do you mean the price for the pair or for one speaker?

In the price, it appears to be for one item, but when my order arrived in the mail, there were two. The extra pair of socks had to be returned.

You won't find any fake speakers there! Their real purpose is to serve as passive radiators! The speakers are great, and I can't think of anything negative to say about them
5/5

However, I would like to speak out against those folks who are claiming that they have fake Passive radiators, a way to increase bass output without electricity or wiring, are quite popular in speakers. There is no question that two of the speakers are passive radiators, so I would ask that you do not penalize the product due to your own ignorance.

It is not a result of these speakers
3/5

This speaker set I purchased in 2017 is still working well. During the move, I made changes to my living room, and my tower speaker seems to be damaged. After I pulled the speakers out, I found out that two of them were fakes. You should take the speakers apart so you have real speakers when you buy them.

In this comparison, we compare T15 to The 15th
5/5

Upon purchasing the Polk T15, I then purchased the Polk S15 speakers shortly after at double the price. Some online reviews suggest that the S15 speakers surpass the T15 by a wide margin. A blow away is when you cannot differentiate between the T15 intercom and the one in the drive through of a fast food restaurant. I'd say that the S15 was noticeably (but not significantly) better than the S10. Therefore I will leave it up to you to decide whether or not a noticeable difference justifies over two times the price. Another way to put it is that the T15 offers 90% of the performance for less than 50% of the price, which is an excellent deal! Furthermore, the T15 is more versatile because it is smaller and front ported (more difficult to find). This allows it to also be installed against a.

In this comparison, the Polk Audio T15 and Edifier R1280T are compared
3/5

The range is $100 to $200 I am looking for the Edifier R1280T -* This track has a punchier, deeper bass - There is virtually no airy high-pressure system in place Response at different frequencies
A muffled sound can be heard - There is no receiver required with this product

$74 A Polk Audio T15 by A Polk Audio - This track is much more airy/airy and has more clarity and immediate feel to it
- It can be on the edge of being too sharp*br The bass is rather flat, and the overall sound is a bit tinny - These speakers are probably intended to be used at the rear of a home theatre system, and because of their higher sound quality The optimal environment would be one with an ideal frequency balance rather than one with no frequency balance. It is generally agreed that Edifiers are the better sounding stand-alone speakers for the majority of people. A high frequency absence is more difficult to miss than a low frequency absence, largely because it is easier to ignore the absence of a high The Edifiers also come with no expensive receiver or hardware that needs plugging in a receiver, and you can immediately add the Chromecast Audio to make the speakers wirelessly enabled, making the Edifiers an excellent smart speaker system all by themselves. Don't get the Polks, unless you're going to use them as rear speakers for surround sound, in which case I'd recommend them highly.

It's a great value for the money on your bookshelf
5/5

They are excellent speakers at the price they are offered. I think they sound great! A full-color picture that is clear and accurate It reproduces a wide range of sounds, including some Although I considered Yamaha and Sony 3-D, I ended up getting them at a sale price, which made them somewhat of a no-brainer Two-way bookshelf speakers and the Polk TSI100, which is almost functionally the same except for having an active crossover that I didn't care about that, however, since it didn't affect my purposes It is going to be used as a 5 surround. Polk speakers and a Sony receiver for one system. Why go for surrounds if you can get them cheaper? This is an exceptionally good album, and they handle transitions between complex passages and more isolated passages very well. Their style can also be described as an amalgam of acoustic and electronic I would describe the soundstage as being visible to the ear, with a clear separation of frequency components. don't have the shrill sound, but they're not as crisp as they could be, in terms of tone, though how crisp it is depends on the music you're playing EDIT *br/*br (EDIT This speaker has been with me for a few years. I have listened to a good deal of music and movies through it. With these, you'll be able to stay within your limits as long as you know their limitations and strengths. It is too early to give them an extensive review, nor have I put them through extensive testing with a home theater audio source, but their performance with music lends itself to expectation that they would also handle typical movie sound. The only thing to consider is that they are only rated at 50w continuous/100w peak, so if you intend to use them as mains power, you'll have to take this into account. Edit (Edit) During the engineering of these products, Polk placed an emphasis on You won't find bass from these like you would from a 3-" Speaker with 2-way communication. The max is set by them. Larger rooms may not be able to be used as mains due to the higher volume rating. In spite of these shortcomings, they cost under $100 and they sound amazing In a five I would say they are perfect for the surrounds. There is only one system that places fewer demands on rear speakers, so their wattage rating is irrelevant. If you set up 4 of these in a home theater setup, you might not need any other speakers. If the room is small, you might want to go with 4 and a subwoofer. In this case, the frequency is. This model can only respond down to 60khz, so you won't get deep bass from it. Despite this, you may hear some bass, which sounds surprisingly clean on sound selections with low-frequency content The end of the channel ripples through all the I personally enjoy music so I chose the Monitor 60s as my mains since I listen to a lot. However, honestly, those might be overkill in some ways because I am not sure how much volume would be needed to fill the room they are in, which is probably about As for the M60s' sound quality, they go well with the T15s and PSW10, and they are very adaptable to serving as the main system in a larger, living room environment. As for swapping the T15s with my Yamaha surround speakers on the main system, I would not have any problem with that, except for the fact that the T15s may be There is a hole in the back for a key, if you want to wall-mount them They should be mounted or held in place. In terms of the cabinet itself, it's very well-made The grilles are not necessary and these look excellent without them. As a whole, I have been extremely pleased with the purchase, they have performed flawlessly so far and are exactly what I To get a bookshelf speaker with more bass, you should select a speaker at least 2x larger The cost will be 3x higher, but there will also be physical space limitations. Take the Yamaha 3-in-1 as an example As a bookshelf speaker, the way packs a large grille with a large woofer, causing the treble and midrange to overwhelm the woofer. Then maybe that's a good option for the mains if you do not have room or the budget for a subwoofer and/or floor-stander I would argue that a 5. 1 surround system is overkill, especially for a small room. Setup for one computer. T15s, on the other hand, don't need to be so loud to achieve their goal The performance is comparable to more expensive 2-way speakers in a smaller package, but they do have better sound quality A bookshelf speaker that has two ways. Despite their price tag, they are something of an engineering/design miracle, and as long as you have reasonable expectations, they will meet or exceed them.
