With stunning dynamics, a massive soundstage, and pristine clarity for unerring realism and dialogue intelligibility, the Reference 3-way Ultra Center speaker anchors the front stage of a home theater. The 3-way speaker system features a 1-inch dome tweeter, a 4-inch vertically aligned midrange driver, and dual 6-inch bass drivers. 5-inch woofers have excellent dispersion characteristics, resulting in accurate frequency response in all listening positions.

The SVS Ultra Center speaker has a stiff and lightweight 4-inch composite glass-fiber cone midrange driver for high sensitivity and pistonic behavior well beyond the driver's pass-band, which is where the majority of audio content is found.

A smooth off-axis response, outstanding phase coherency, and a stable, robust soundstage are all benefits of the SVS SoundMatch 3-way crossover, which features precisely tuned crossover frequencies and slopes. Capacitors of the highest quality, air-core inductors, and other high-end components ensure flawless signal transmission and complete neutrality.

Every feature on the cabinet of the Ultra Center channel speaker was chosen for its sonic value. Chamfers, or tapered edges on the front baffle of the cabinet, reduce edge diffraction for clear and precise sound staging. To optimize performance and minimize interaction, each cabinet uses separate sealed enclosures for both mid-bass and tweeter drivers on the inside. The grille, too, has been FEA-optimized for maximum acoustic transparency.

Is there a set of wall-mounting brackets included?

No, you will not receive any mounting hardware. There are no mount points on the SVS Ultra Center for attaching hardware. It's not a good idea to mount it against a wall because it's a ported cabinet. Floating shelf brackets that are deep enough to push the shelf away from the wall are recommended. That's how I've got mine set up, and it looks and sounds fantastic. When paired with the matching SVS Ultra bookshelves, this is the best center channel I've ever heard.

In comparison to the other brand I previously used, I can hear the dialogue better. This eliminated the problem of having to adjust the volume level every time we watched a movie.

For a small amount of money, this is an absolutely fantastic reproduction

I replaced a def tech 8060 center because, like many others, I was having trouble hearing vocals in surround movies and shows. When pushed into a decent HT setup, most centers, not just def tech, suffer from this. The SVS, not so much. At and above reference level listening, the sound quality is crystal clear.

I'm sure there are better units out there, but it's hard to beat for the price. It's crystal clear, and the sound is well-projected. The audio is crystal clear, and the mids are fantastic.
