It's not worth nearly $1000, in my opinion.
Cons- br>On Apple Play, the colors are faded and you can't adjust them. br>You can't adjust the brightness with your turning signal dial. br>If your Jeep has a USB port built into the center console, you're out of luck. When you connect the radio, it stops working completely, and you can't even use it to charge your phone. br>On my screen, there was a small faded circle, possibly due to damaged pixels. I'm not sure. br>The screen is pixelated, and the words and display are choppy.
Pros- br>I think it sounds a lot better with this stereo than it did with the OEM one. You can tweak the EQ to your preference. br>Apple Play is functional, but the aesthetics are abysmal once again. The screen's colors have faded significantly. br>Screen is responsive, with very little lagbr>Aesthetically, it's a nice unitbr>br>Haven't played with the cameras yet, but I've heard good thingsbr>Wish the screen was more customizablebr>Again, I strongly believe it's not worth the money they're asking for. It's possible that I'll come back.
Exceptionally well-done! Integrates seamlessly with the factory steering wheel controls, automatically selects the appropriate input based on the sound source without the need for manual switching, and looks fantastic. I'm a little worried about it being stolen and getting wet (it's not waterproof, and Amazon's insurance doesn't cover water/moisture damage), so I'm hoping for the best. I had two issues worth reporting - I have an open ticket with Amazon because I did not receive the "free gift" (dry bag) that was advertised in this listing. I'm hoping they'll get to the bottom of it as soon as possible. Second, my first order arrived in my city and was handed over to USPS to deliver the final mile, where it was "lost in transit. " I had to wait an additional four days before receiving a refund and having to reorder. I'd go with the "ship in an Amazon box" option because I'm guessing someone from UPS or USPS saw the factory box and decided to take it to their own house instead of sending it to you. Pull the trigger if you're on the fence about mine. It'll be well worth your time and effort.
It's a significant improvement over the factory radio and the majority of aftermarket head units. It would be ideal if it only took up half of the screen, allowing you to see Maps and other information. It would be fantastic if they stitched all four cameras together while you backup. INTERFACE: BR>BR>INTERFACE: INTERFACE: INTERFACE: INTERFACE: INTERFACE br>I'm one of those people who enjoys having a lot of options and settings to choose from. Regrettably, this is not the case. All you can do is change the color of the lights on the buttons and pick from a few different backgrounds. There are no more apps that can be installed. br>br>The Radio software needed to be updated; it's not difficult to do; all you need is a USB memory stick and the instructions on their website; it's well worth it because you get more features and the interface has been cleaned up.
The radio is nice, but I'm not sure it's worth $1000. 00, it should be able to do more (for example: have a list of songs that are currently playing on the radio I believe the GPS SD card and SiriusXM radio antenna should have come standard for that price!.
This unit has SO MUCH to like about it. The sound is fantastic, the features are plentiful, and the crazy mix of available inputs and outputs is truly amazing! br>br>In a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited (JK), I have the following setup:br> * Front Camera in the Back - When used in reverse, it works. Hooked up to the speed sensors for automatic camera operation when the vehicle is put back into drive. GREATbr> * Radio works wellbr> * Bluetooth works well (though I wish I could increase the input volume even more)br> * Sirius XM has been a problem. I bought a separate adapter to connect the SXM radio to the unit, but it keeps dropping out (I THINK THIS IS THE SXM RADIO, not the Heigh10)br> * HDMI in works finebr> * Android Auto works fine - I'm using it on a new vehicle as well, and it's a little less responsive, but still usable. br> * The audio options are AMAZING. I've experimented with the EQ and Time Compensation, and I'm very impressed. I replaced the stock speakers with Kickers from Mopar and beefed up the enclosures, and the result is fantastic. br>br>MY ONE AND ONLY BEEF: Changing the band on the radio or SXM should not result in a channel change. The current channel I'm listening to should only change when I select a new channel, not when I change the Band. br>br>Here's the use case and why this is a FRUSTRATING issue. I'm currently listening to a channel (which I chose using the dial or the Prev/Next buttons) and have decided to record it. Because my current Band is full, I use the Band button to search for an available channel. WELL CRAP, I just lost the channel because it switched to the one I had last used from the new Band, which cost me a star because it happens all the time.
