It certainly ought to. Make sure the input and output sizes are the same.
To be honest, I had one that didn't work so well, so I contacted Kenwood and got one of theirs instead.
The avh120bt does not have a microphone plug on the back, but it does have a built-in microphone in the unit's left top corner. It's terrible, and Pioneer has a major design flaw on their hands. My problem is similar to yours.

The only size that will fit a pioneer is 5mm. I was hesitant to order these because the picture does not show a pioneer mic, but the description stated that it would work. It is, of course, a standard 3. The pioneer radio will not work with a 5mm bt mic. I finally received my return label and returned for a refund as soon as possible.
The clip provided provided a variety of mounting options, making installation simple. The extra-long lead came in handy when it came to routing the wire and mic. All obstacles in the dash should be avoided. The downside is that the microphone makes a random buzzing noise that the person I'm talking to can hear; it's not constant, but it happens 9 times out of 10. I'll get in touch with the seller to see if the wire routing could cause noise interference.
5mm - I placed two orders - I ordered this item twice in the hopes that the first order had been a mistake. There is no 2 in this item. Instead of a 5mm male as advertised, this is a 3. 5mm. The second item that was replaced was the same as the first.
On my Alpine 2 din head unit, this was a breeze to install. My other ones were ripped by accident. They work great; the only issue I have is that they do not block speaker noise, which means that when I am on a call, the other end can hear themselves speak back to them. To reduce speaker pickup, I recommend getting a cloth cover for it. So you're not having the same problem as the rest of us. I wish it came with a microphone from the seller.
It was extremely simple, despite the fact that I am not a car enthusiast. To hook it up, you'll need tools and patience; it has to be plugged into the back of your car stereo, with cords hidden in the trim and along the inside of the dashboard, but it's a breeze on my Acura MDX. This device is absolutely fantastic.
The cord is very long and easy to hook up. I decided against using the clip because it appears to be flimsy, and my visors are quite thick. Instead, it simply protrudes from the dash (where it all fits together) just above the radio, both of which are black, making it almost unnoticeable. Test calls in the car went well, and I'd order more if necessary.
Unless there is a minor impediment in the way, it appears to work well. br>Apart from that, it appears to be functional. When I wrote this review, I had been using it for a few months.
It does what it's supposed to do. It's simple to connect, and the long cable makes routing a breeze. br>br>If anything, the noise cancellation could be better, as it can be difficult for the other party of a call to hear me when I use the mic for Bluetooth calls while driving, despite the fact that the mic is on the A-pillar. About 30cm away from my face was a pillar.
