I came across the F7 Series while looking for something else. It's a good price and it's not bloated with Android; it has a simple interface and can do everything I need it to. For this 10, br>br> I put it in a 2013 Honda Civic EX with no navigation and it worked perfectly. br>br>I'll be honest, I didn't get what was shown. Rather than a framed head unit with physical buttons, I was given a more modern tablet-style head unit. I'm not sure if this is a pro or a con, but when it arrived, the plastic screen was slightly protruding from the bottom, as shown in the photo. I'll be surprised if this radio survives the upcoming Middle Georgia summer without the plastic screen cracking, and I'll probably only buy Atoto radios from now on. Lol. But it's a solid device with tapered edges that remind me of an iPhone 7. And it makes the inside of my car look brand new! I really like how it looks! br>br>This unit is small and has a back double din module that is very short. There's no way to adjust the screen, so it's just a tablet mounted on a double din. Unless, of course, brackets are used. I was worried at first because the unit is so flush and short in the back that there was almost no room for bracket screw holes, but I managed to finish it. However, I don't think this is a problem for flat or slightly curved dashes in general. Overall, I found this to be ideal for my car, as the screen did not protrude to the point where it encroached on my steering wheel. With the proper wiring harness, installation was a breeze. Everything is well labeled and the instructions are clear. There are two USB cords on the back of the device. One for external storage, such as a USB flash drive, and the other for Android Auto carplay. It also came with a microphone. br>br>A MicroSD and Aux cord slot is located at the top of the unit on the backside; it would be better if it were on the side. In terms of display quality, br>br> I'm fine with it. It has a grainy, low-quality appearance. At night, it has a nice appearance. I'm not picky, so it's not terrible. The screen, on the other hand, is extremely bright. It's only $150-$200. So don't expect an Apple retina display at $175. display of type br>br>WORKS FLAWLESSLY WITH APPLE CAR PLAY AND ANDROID AUTO. Better than most cars with a nice radio, such as my grandmother's 2019 Equinox and my father's 2018 Duramax. I mean, there are no issues; it boots up and loads quickly, which is exactly what I was looking for! Also, to my surprise, this head unit is louder and sounds a lot better than the one that came with my Honda. I wish I could get Autolink to work for longer than 3 seconds, but it appears that the problem is with the app rather than the radio. I'm trying to come up with a workaround right now. It can be customized to a degree. The lights on the panel buttons, the EQ, the balance, the fader, the wallpaper, and the boot logo can all be customized. br>br>Overall, I recommend this unit to anyone looking for a low-cost, decent CarPlay/Android Auto unit for an older vehicle. It accomplishes my objectives; I adore the appearance; however, the screen quality and build could be improved; however, the sound quality compensates for this. I'll eventually upgrade to a more expensive Atoto, and if this one survives the summer, I'll give it to my cousin or mother!.
Initially, I purchased the stereo's younger brother, a 7-inch F7 (F7G2A7SE, see my review here), and I was very pleased with it, but when I saw a 10-inch F7 (F7G2A7SE, see my review here), I decided to upgrade. I immediately ordered the inch version for just a few dollars more. br>After a side-by-side comparison, I'm keeping a 10-point score. inch one. I think it's an improvement on an already great product; both radios use the same software and hardware, but minor design changes made all the difference. This new design appeals to me because it is more streamlined and concise. br>br>Differences: br>The MicroSD card slot has been relocated behind the display. While it didn't take up much room, you're unlikely to use it on a daily basis, so relocating it to the back was a wise choice. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>the second USB port for connecting external storage ( This cable was routed through my glove compartment. It is flawless! br>Screen and Ergonomics: I had a super clean install with no wires cluttering up the look of my dashboard. br>Because both screens have the same resolution (1024x600), things on the 10-inch screen will look the same as they do on the 10-inch screen. inch, which made a significant difference for my aging eyes. It allows you to operate your stereo with a single glance, increasing your driving safety. Using a rearview camera (I purchased ATOTO AC-1) to back up. While the mount has a limited number of adjustments (perhaps half-dozen), It is solid, with no wiggle, and adjusts an inch back and forth and a couple of degrees in angle. Nothing can come loose or fail because there are no joints. Simple and effective. br>After conducting extensive research and comparing brands, technical specifications, and usability, I came to the conclusion that this is the best car stereo under $200 that I could find.
