Only email will be used to send you alerts and notifications. Furthermore, they do not provide a way to cancel your monthly subscription to their services, so I had to cancel my card!! I've only had this device for two weeks and am already returning it! Furthermore, they do not have a true app. To have quick access to their website, you must use it and save it to your homescreen. The level of precision is extremely low. Every time, it parked my car on the wrong side of the road, in front of a different house!! My card would be placed in a designated area with trees and bushes, not a parking lot, in public places.
What do I do first? This is an excellent product; I spent hours looking at similar units before deciding on the shields unit. The monthly fee for the tracking service is very reasonable, but the yearly fee is a much better deal, depending on what you intend to use it for! Because I suspected my girlfriend of cheating on me, I only required a temporary solution. Thanks to this unit, I was able to respond to the question in a reasonable amount of time. Geofencing and other alert features come in handy. Driving alerts, such as harsh acceleration and braking, were added to the service's features. When I had a question about how to use certain features, customer service was quick to respond with answers and even connected me with their IT department. who actually paid attention and asked for feedback on what features I thought would be useful to include in their product!! One thing to keep in mind about this device is that, despite its diminutive size, it requires power from the OBD port and will protrude past the panel cover. To hide the OBD, you may need to detach it from its dash clips and tuck it behind the dash.
Awesome! It was simple to set up, and I was able to see the location of my car in the app within a few minutes. The trip history menu is fantastic, and it's incredibly simple to see where my car has been. It appears that the location is spot on. Geofencing and a speed warning are nice additions. And, when I had a few questions, customer service was very quick to respond. It was a fantastic find, and I would highly recommend it!.
To be honest, it worked perfectly and the tracking was extremely precise. However, the term "discreet" may not apply to all situations. I installed this on a Chevy, and the OBD2 port is located just beneath the steering wheel, where it is easily visible. The blinking indicator lights would be very visible as well. I even used a piece of electrical tape to cover the lights after painting them with several coats of permanent market. It would be great if the port was hidden more under the dash, but it was too obvious as it was. The device, on the other hand, stood out and was quickly recognized. As I previously stated, it performed admirably for the purpose for which it was designed, with the exception of the discreet aspect.
This is the best purchase I've made in a long time! I've had to use a few of these things before, and this one appears to be the best so far - It has the lowest monthly price, and the app allows you to set location and driving alerts (e. g. , when you're driving). speeding, inattentive driving), and it calculates your mileage. It's worth noting that if you want tracking, you'll have to pay a monthly fee, which appears to be the norm.
Last year, I bought two more Shield GPS Hidden GPS Tracker for Cars devices. Automobiles - I've been using an OBDII device for tracking, anti-theft, and surveillance, and I'm very happy with it. Unlike this new version, the map system was extremely accurate and provided real-time updates, and it did not protrude from the vehicle's OBD port. It stands out, and the device's lights blink, alerting the driver to the fact that it is connected to the vehicle. I'm going to return it.
This is a ridiculous situation. Have two cars, one of which is out of town, and have installed the device in it. When the car with the device is out of town, however, the app shows that it is at home. What the hell is going on here?.
The tracking is precise, and the geofencing feature is fantastic!.
