Questions & Answers

It appears that I can install a 1TB SSD into a mid-size desktop with this adapter Do you know when the 2011 MacBook Air will come out? No matter how fast it is, we need the storage. Know what the limit of your MBA processor is. ?

I agree, but you must buy M as well. The SSD is equipped with two SATA ports. I wish you the best for the future in cnsintech

How well does this adapter work with the new 970 evo plus NVMe M2?

The only support it has is An alternative to nVME SSDs would be 2 SATA SSDs. I wish you the best for the future in cnsintech

Does this SSD work with the Intel SSD 600P series SSDPEKKW256G7X1 (256 GB, M. NVME 3.0 port on two 80mm PCIe cards No x4, 3d1, TLC)?

An nvme drive is not the same as a sata drive. There will be no work if it states nvme.

The drive will come with a 1TB evo M. Would this be compatible with 2 ssd sata III?

You should be able to do that. Notice that the M has a maximum height of 2mm, but there is no capacity greater than that. It comes with two SSDs. I send my best regards to Sintech.

This seems to be a great idea
5/5

In 15 minutes or less, this application was installed There were 10 pentalobe screws in the back of the laptop that had to be removed and reinstalled. It takes a lot of space from my desktop time machine backup to fill up the 1TB drive. There is also the matter of course of many more hours involved. A 1TB Crucial MX500 M hard drive was installed. The SSDs consist of two 3D NAND components. A kit that includes the adapter and SSD costs just over 1/3 of the price of an equivalent kit from Transcend or OWC. The system appears to be working properly so far. While skeptical at first that a $14 adapter would work so well, I am completely satisfied so far with it. Any excess heat does not appear to be present to me. It looks like both the adapter and the new drive fit in the same space as the old drive. As far as I can tell, there is no contact with the laptop shell. My only VERY minor complaint is that there were no Nuts, screws, and washers are included in the package, but not each of them is required. Maybe which one you install depends in some way on the new drive you have installed. A few TIPS If on the other hand you chose a laptop that comes with the SSD in place, remember to buy a pentalobe screwdriver for the 10 screws holding the back of the laptop on plus a torx t5 screwdriver for one screw on the inside. If you want to upgrade your Macbook Air SSD with any M, just google it. You can search YouTube for 'How to Install 2 SATA Drives' and find a great tutorial by the same name with step-by-step instructions This is a step-by-step guide. We recommend that we also reset the NVRAM on restart, among other steps.

It did what it was supposed to
5/5

After doing some research, I found an (nudge over) 3mm high 1TB SATA drive module+board with chips on only one side. It took 5 minutes to crack open a mid 2011 MacBook Air and pop in the module+board. I booted to an external installer to put an operating system The firmware for High Sierra was not installed initially, but after installing Yosemite, and then updating to HS, I was able to install it. Based on Blackmagic Speed Test, this thing is getting about 400MB/s r/w. It doesn't get very warm. Quite pleased with the result. (I will update this review if there are any issues.

There is a possibility that SSDs will contact the backplate
4/5

As WD Blue m comes with two washers, the second washer needed to be added to the back of the adapter. As the screws are slightly too long to hold both SSDs on the mount, you cannot use this adapter with two SSDs. Kapton tape was used to protect the logic board from the lower screw since the second washer allowed the top screw to connect the SSD to the spacer, so I had to extend the bottom screw. My SSD was shorting against the back plate so I had to put kapton tape on it to protect it. Consider insulating the SSD before tightening the backplate in order to prevent a bulge after mounting it.

Please don't hesitate to contact us! I liked it a lot! The RAM upgrade for my MacBook Air 11" (late 2010) worked well! It installed without a problem and was up and running when I expected it to be

My new SSD was formatted to the desired format and MacOS High Sierra was installed on it successfully after I booted from the MacOS USB boot loader. As far as I can tell, it appears to be a bit thicker than the drive it replaces, but I have not encountered any problems with assembly or overheating. As of now, I haven't had any issues with this SSD adapter.

The hard drive in your 2010 or 2011 Macbook Air needs to be replaced
5/5

I love it! It was an online purchase of a used Macbook Air, which did not include a hard drive. Then, I looked online for a way to add an SSD hard drive, and on Amazon, I found this little adapter. You will have to insert your M board into the motherboard. It's as simple as that! Just plug in your SSD drive and you're done! It runs like a factory SSD right out of the box.

It does as it is supposed to
3/5

This piece of equipment performs the task it was purchased to perform, but creates packaging issues throughout the system and makes things somewhat difficult. It works and is reasonably priced when compared to a proper Apple drive with its proprietary interface. I am not sure how reliable it will be over the long term.

In a MacBookAir, all you have is air

Business MBA 11" is the late edition of the 2010 MBA series. There are two drives in the adapter and the Mac does not recognize any of them. I've tried using the recovery environment as well as bash but nothing works. As soon as it is left to its own devices, it will boot the framed question mark.
