Questions & Answers

The cable is connected directly to the card housing the original ssd on my late 2012 Retina. Is there a separate cable for the adapter card?

This card is for reading SSDs from 2012 Macbook Pros; it does not include a USB SATA cable. br>br>sintech ccnbr>best regardsbr>

Do you have anything for a 2015 Macbook Pro with Retina Display?

Yes, but it's a USB 3.0 device. Version 0 is available. Please provide the part number of your SSD so that I can determine whether it is a PCIe ACHI SSD or a nVME SSD. best regardsbr>sintech cnbr>best regardsbr>best regardsbr>best regardsbr>best regardsbr>best regardsbr>best regardsbr>best regardsbr>

But it works, and it's in my MacMini server, where it's paired with a 512GB SATA SSD and performing admirably
3/5

It's a cheap Chinese adapter, but it does the job. On my spare 512GB Macbok SSD, it worked flawlessly. I'm getting around 300 MB/s write, but that depends on the drive you're using, not this adapter. br>br>I couldn't fit it into anything because it was far too long. I ended up installing the drive in the second HDD bay of my MacMini Server (which has a quad-core processor but no optical drive). It had gone on far too long. I snapped it off because the screw side had no circuitry. I also had to snap off about 1/4" of the SSD (no circuitry was damaged; only the board and mounting nut were damaged). ) To keep it in place, I used an electrical tap. yup, lol. But it works, and it's in my MacMini server, where it's paired with a 512GB SATA SSD and performing admirably. br>br>It's also recognized by OS X as an Apple SSD.

Only the late-2012 MacBook Pro SSD is compatible

I was able to connect the SSD from my dead MacBook Pro to the SATA adapter, then to my new computer, and recover all of my data using this adapter.

It does what it says on the tin, but it took a long time to arrive.

I needed to retrieve data from a non-existent database, and this product came through big time
5/5

It's a working Macbook with an unusual SSD. I was able to connect it to a standard SSD fitting using this adapter, which fit it perfectly. br>Price was accurate. It would have been impossible if it hadn't been for the fact that br>It was also on time.
