The adapter allowed me to access a drive that no longer operated on my laptop. It was easy for me to mount the drive on another computer and transfer the data from there. In lieu of connecting it directly to a USB port, it would be nice if there were a USB cable. The result is a bit awkward to use It was adequate for the job aside from that.

That's an amazing device that saves a ton of time. This method worked perfectly to initialize a new drive. It is so great to be able to muck things up right away. Simply plug the USB into it, go to disk management, and plug it into the 2nd. I was immediately able to install a drive into a new computer build without any hassles. The fact that this made my day made me a novice enthusiast. I am pleased to add it to my arsenal. I would definitely recommend it if you are planning to build new PC.
