Type-C Hub with Hard Drive Enclosure, AGPTEK USB-C Docking Station & Stand for Mac Mini with SATA SSD/HDD Slot, TF/SD Card Readers/USB Ports for Mac Mini 2018 or Above

The Mac mini M1 dock arrived today and I was anxious to connect it to my computer. The only way to connect it to it is through one of the two USB ports I have now We have only one C port, so it needs to have at least a one to one swap, and not take away the other. USB ports are located throughout the front of the unit There are two USB 3 ports and two USB 2 ports on port A (see figure A). My intention wouldn't be to return it immediately, but if I found the USB on my desk, I'll return it In my opinion, 2 ports are not worth the price of the dock if they cause headaches. This is the only USB device that supports There is a connection between the mac mini and connector C. It is not possible to plug in a USB stick There are a number of C ports available for use. It would be great if they used both and provided four There are six additional USB ports It would be nice if they included C ports. I'm looking forward to the release of this "same sized stackable dock".

I enjoy it very much. Color matching is very good, and it adds a few extra ports and (best of all) allows you to hide an external hard drive for your time machine backup. My only criticism is that the USB ports are oriented upside down, as opposed to the conventional way. Here is some feedback on how the model can be improved You can attach a USB drive The front of the device should have a USB-C port, as well as additional USB ports Three USB ports at the back allow you to connect peripheral devices discretely.

You should beware A lot of the tools required to set this product up are not included. There is value in this product. There is supposed to be a 2 you can connect to. Below is the hard-drive enclosure for the 5 SSD hard-drives. There is however one reason I gave this product a one star rating. That is because it does not include the pin connector cable that should be used to connect the hard drive to the sata pin connector within the hard drive enclosure. What a pain!.

In addition to this, this kind of Mac mini adapter is in perfect harmony with the color of the laptop. As far as functionality, all the ports work as exactly as they should. I had no problems setting up the system. I was able to plug and play all the devices. It didn't affect my headache at all. You should definitely purchase this item. Save your energy and money on the Satechi, which does not even have the right.

There are few differences between the space gray color and the Mini's, depending on how the light is hitting it, but it's close enough that it looks like it belongs to the same You may set the unit on top of or underneath the Mini as a result, either approach is fine. When I placed the unit on top of the Mini, I did notice a drop in WiFi signal strength. In terms of performance, it does not matter where the unit sits, although if you put it on top, the Apple logo would be obscured and only the AGPTEK logo would appear. For me, that's not a big deal, but some users can't help showing their Apple pride. Many reviews have noted that when this external unit touches the Mini, it gets very hot. Whether the unit is on top of the Mini or underneath it, I don't notice any significant difference in temperature, but your mileage may vary. The additional USB 3 ports were appreciated by me, but I would have liked to see more of them. The three are all zeroes.

The external 1TB SSD I wanted would be attached to my Mac mini, and I also wanted a USB hub so I had more ports available. Both functions are provided by this unit and it also looks super sexy. With the enclosure, I had no problem installing my SATA SSD. Under the bottom of the monitor you remove a little panel that conceals the drive. When not in use, you don't see it. From the Mac, the unit can be connected with a USB cable It can therefore handle USB 3 when connected through the USB 3. 0 Type-C cable. A USB 3 port is exposed on the card that allows for x speeds. Ports of different dimensions and sizes, including USB 2. 0, are found on the x (blue) ports. My computer has a handful of X ports, and a couple of memory card slots that I am unlikely to As you can see in the image below, the enclosure/hub is the exact length and width of the mac mini (2018 model, or another), which means it's exactly 8 inches wide by 8 inches long, and also has the same corner radius curvature. It would be ideal to mount it on top of a mac mini (using mounting tape). Compared to the previous one, this one is just a touch lighter. you are bothered by this, put the hub on the underside of the Mac Mini and you won't notice it at all. It's a subtle difference that I don't mind.
Overall, this is a big improvement for my Mac Mini.

I've been looking for a dock that matches my Mini and has all the extra ports that A SSD compartment built into the Mini gives me access to a 1TB SSD without adding any clutter to the setup. This enables me to upgrade the Mini without significantly increasing the cost. I was a little worried when some comments talked about mounting the SSD after the Mac was shut down, but I am not having any issues in that regard at all. Everything shuts down smoothly if I need to shut down the Mini, and restarts with ease.

What he likes The perfect color match for your Apple Mac mini. The USB port It's connected to the C port. You did a great job there. I really like how it performs. The following dislikes It turns out that the USB ports are on the wrong side! I would appreciate it if you fixed this. The USB port It's fine to connect via USB C, however, since this is for a Mac mini, Thunderbolt 3 should be able to take advantage of its speed. The following items are on my wish list The USB ports are facing the wrong way! Fix them! The second USB port will be added I have a C/Thunderbolt and USB port The back of the enclosure has a port for connecting anything you don't want seen or dangling another enclosure from it. The USB connector is shorter Thunderbolt cable Type C I'd say it's about 4 inches long. We'll order more if you fix the ports.
