Product Description

You can't use M on this device. The following two NVMe PCIe SSDs are available
Using a m, convert it. Solid-state drive with two NGFF connectors can be converted to a two-port standard drive. Solid state drives with five SATA III ports and six Gbps transfer speeds
With an enclosed housing, your SSD is protected

Questions & Answers

I am using this with our USB 3 startech device. The number 0 to 2 is zero. When using the "5 adapter" the m2 keeps (disco/recon)necting, using the same cable with the mechanical drive works, any suggestions?

As it turns out, this is a known issue with some of the m2 drives, causing them to connect and disconnect. I had the same problem and opted for a regular SSD with no problems.

The enclosure appears to have a sata connection, but it can be used in a laptop or not?

Dear Mr. Bhatt, thank you for your questions. It's not fake, the enclosure contains that duality, which converts to a The solid-state NGFF consists of two You should use a Standard 2 or a Standard 0. The SSD has a 5in SATA III interface with 6Gbps. Please take note You will not be able to use The device has two PCIe NVMe slots or M slots. Make sure you choose the right SSD type before you place the My best regards.

Can anyone confirm this is 7mm by measuring it? There was another brand that advertised 7mm but it was actually 7mm, and it was not the same as the brand I purchased. This would not fit the slot because it was 6mm too wide. ?

I think I've used it in a 7mm laptop without any problems. There seems to be the same height difference as between a 7mm drive and a 20mm drive The other.

Key word A photograph of compatibility was taken at the wrong time-- A B- grade would be more appropriate In the item description, there is a picture in which it states that it can only be used with B+M key drives. There is a key on the package (notice photo), which matches the description, so it should work with both B- and C-types of devices A key and a M+B This is a key drive. The drive I have works fine with this adapter, it's a B+M key drive. A B- grade is assigned to the hard drive Adapter and its connector have a notch on the side that circles around the stop The pins in that position on the adapter are simply skipped over by the side notch. It will not work if it has a B-, which it does not have A notch is cut in the side of the adapter to go around the stop.

YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT TYPE OF DRIVE YOU HAVE
5/5

The following is my name A SATA drive and two external drives. The NVMe interface is not supported. The memory card I had was 128 GB. The drive consists of two SATA SSDs. The first time I used this externally over USB was to clone my 128GB SSD to my I had no problems. The drive consists of two SATA SSDs. Due to the second hard drive port in my laptop, I put my original 128gb SSD into this product and placed it in the extra two ports. It is now going to serve as a second/storage hard drive on my laptop. I have connected it to a 5" internal bay. SSDs in the 5" form factor. I could easily fit it into the internal space The spot is about 5" wide. In addition to externally using this drive to clone, I am also using it as an internal SSD. Both have worked perfectly for me. ALL M. ARE NOT THE SAME. The M is for a letter. There are 2 SATA ports, NOT an NVMe port. People reporting that they were unable to use NVMe because they had to put it in upside down or that it would not fit should be aware that they were trying something Find out what kind of M you have in 5 minutes by doing some research. Please note that the M you are writing is An external connection using a 5" SATA port is what makes this product so great. That connection can connect to two drives. SATAs with a 5 inch form factor. As with using a cable, you will not get the same speeds as if you plugged your M into it. An actual M can be made up of 2 SATA drives.

The price isn't the most important factor

After 4 months of ownership and using the adapter once, I can offer a thorough evaluation The aluminum case is one of the parts of the device I loved the most. My least favorite part was when I put the cable into my computer for a second time, and it started to smoke and sizzle, destroying my m2 ssd when it did so.

The first time I booted the car, it immediately smoked

The following nbsp The MX500 1TB M finished off the look of my new Crucial MX500. In the future, I'd like to upgrade a laptop with an SSD so I could use it both on my desktop and my laptop. A good package is provided for the product. The adapter began to smoke as soon as the computer was powered on. According to the log, the TVS diode did not work for any reason right away. It is questionable whether the quality is acceptable. It is not known if the SSD has been affected A RECENT UPDATE The second adapter has been purchased, the cables have been changed. I didn't buy and I didn't get what I wanted.

Is that true? There is no doubt that Amazon would be better off if they had a Zero-based pricing policy There is an option for stars

The pros are Thanks for sending it to me. In that case, it's worth a shot. The cons are On a motherboard, there are 2 slots). There are literally a few hairs between the slot and the edge. As pointed out above, this SSD has been installed on not one, but two different motherboards, so the problem is not with As a whole Buying is not a good idea. I'll do it. NOT AT ALL. You should buy!.

The data is stored on two SATA drives
5/5

I decided to use one drive rather than both for a computer build, then I came across this on Amazon so I decided to use it A 2TB SSD was put to use as an Xbox One X hard drive. I cannot envision this adapter being used inside the Xbox One X, but I have to admit that it appears to be quite good, and appears to be as good as some SSDs. The only thing I am not happy about is the management. I used stick-on standoff for the screw because the 2 slot does not have (or my own did not have) a standoff for the screw To level out the M, place rubber pads on top of it. There are two spaces in the slot, and then the screw that is used to hold it in position without stretching the board too much, as without the screw the board sits at an angle downward. Lastly, the screws that hold the adapter shut are too easy to lose, but since the cover stays on fine without them, it is not an issue.

The two units were not approved

Now that the troubleshooting is done, I will move on to the next step. The two attempts I made were

The replacement product arrived just now.

I bent the product back, but I wanted a new one. It looks as if everything is in order, but nothing is working. Testing will be done on a M+B SSD I know is working. On one of the newer motherboards and one of the older motherboards, I tried a direct SATA connection with SSD installed. The PC's I have attempted to use the adapters are those that have hot swappable bays and those with a SATA TO USB connection. Yet there is more to come Thanks to my old product still to be returned, I was able to return the old product. Not at all. After switching the board from the bent to the straight unit, the board looks like the following. It didn't work! Device manager detected no changes. In addition to getting warm when connected directly to a power source, the unit also gets hot when unplugged. There must be a very specific limitation that I am unaware of. This could be a design problem or just a poor engineering job. The device is not NVME, so it should just work, but it doesn't.

I almost gave it a 5 In terms of the enclosure itself, it has a nice matte finish and the installation of the module is easy
4/5

The hardware consists of two SSDs, plus two hard drives There is a tool included with the download With a 5inch size, it fits in any modern case without a problem. Fortunately, the mount has been lowered, so the overall profile of the SSD is in line with that of the standard, but it is still high enough that when screwing in the SSD, it bends downward since it is not aligned completely with the floor. The SSD has a 3mm gap between it and the board the mount is attached to. It seemed like there was going to be a low-key affair It should be a profile standoff, but it is not. My board flexing is a big no-no for me, so even if the SSD won't be damaged, I won't do it. There was just a slight kink in it.
