Questions & Answers

Will these be a good fit for Megamind's head?

Yes, the headband can be adjusted to fit your needs.

Is the headset cable a combo jack or does it have two separate jacks for the headphones and microphone?

Both. A combination of three. The Razer Kraken has a 5 mm jack built into it. For platforms that require separate audio and mic input ports, an extension splitter cable is also included, allowing full audio and mic access.

Is it possible to use these for the PS4 and Xbox One?

Yes, the Razer Kraken can be connected to the 3. The PS4 and Xbox One S controllers both have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

After growing tired of using a crappy old turtle beach from my previous Xbox for my PC/Hackintosh, I decided to get this Kraken headset
5/5

It's comfortable, functional, stylish, and affordable. After 2-minutes, it felt as if they had cracked the top of my head open. My ears were sore after only 3 hours of use. I also wanted a headset with a built-in microphone for Zoom and gaming, rather than using a headset AND the Blue Snowball at the same time, despite the Snowball's excellent acoustics. br>br>On the Kraken, I have the following thoughts: Is it really as good as everyone says it is? br>br>I can attest that this headset DOES live up to the hype, and that it isn't just a brand that sells shoddy gear at exorbitant prices. I can't say the same about some of their other headsets, which have received a lot of negative feedback. This headset, on the other hand, is both comfortable and practical. It's a steal, especially considering Amazon sells it for less than the MSRP. Advantages: br>br>
- The cooling technology in their earmuffs actually works.
- Your skull is not cracked by the top of the headsetbr>- The mic can be retracted, which I adore. br>- The packaging creates an excellent first impressionbr>- A dedicated mic and audio jack are included in the extension cable, which is a nice touch for large desks like mine. br>- br>br>Cons: br>br>Can be worn for long periods of time. br>br>
- The volume dial on the audio cable's lower volume range is a complete snoozer. I'm not sure if it's just my unit, but when you use the integrated volume dial to change the volume from high to low, the balance between left and right shifts randomly. It's a pain to have to adjust the volume when you're playing a game. If you're having trouble with the volume, try turning it all the way up, then using your keyboard to adjust the volume on the OS side rather than the hardware side. br>- On my Hackintosh, the microphone is a little finicky with MacOS; I'm not sure why, but I'll keep working with it.
- The ears are a little bigger than I expected, but I think it will save my ears for the rest of its life. br>- I wish the cable had a built-in voice-chat/game volume balance feature like Turtle Beach on Xbox. This is included in the tournament edition, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $40. With a redesigned USB unit and the tournament edition, this headset would be the best headset on the market for $60-$70. 100 br>br>Summary: br>br> br>br>Taking into account both the advantages and disadvantages- This headset is fantastic. Of course, it has flaws, as do all technological devices. I'm sure Razer will add some killer features to this headset over the next few generations in order to dominate the gaming market. I would recommend this headset to anyone looking for a headset that is comfortable, functional, stylish, and affordable; with the features included in this headset, there is nothing better out there for $60 or less. Can be bought for 70 dollars.

No, don't do it; instead, go find some turtles
3/5

The microphone is too short, and the quality is poor. To hear yourself, you must turn up the mic monitoring to maximum volume, which results in a buzzing sound. Because you don't have a wind sock, you'll hear the wind. Headphones, on the other hand, are very effective. Returning.

The quality is excellent and the design is adorable
4/5

It's my first headset, and I'm very pleased with it. It also came with attachable kitty ears. I had some trouble figuring out some audio issues at first because only the left side worked, but I believe it was a combination of drivers and making sure all my settings were correct, as well as plugging it in the back. They've been in my possession for a few months and are still in great condition! Although not the most comfortable, the overall quality is excellent! I would suggest it.

Don't be hesitant; BUY THEM NOW! These headphones are absolutely fantastic
5/5

My husband keeps trying to talk to me while I have them on and I can't hear a word he says, haha. They're super cute, girly, and cancel out all background noise. I recommend getting the kitten ears that attach to the top of the headphones if you're a girly girl or just want to make your gaming/computer station girly. I absolutely adore these headphones and plan to purchase all of the Razer accessories that go with them:.

Poor quality, with only a two-month life expectancy
3/5

This item isn't long lasting. The audio adjuster's cord had come undone. The worst part is that it happened only two months after it was purchased, and there was no coercion involved. Without a doubt, I will not purchase the item, and I do not recommend it.

The volume dial, however, is not well designed
4/5

I use these with a PS4 and am pleased with them, though I must admit that this is the first pair of "gaming" headphones I've ever owned, so I have no idea whether they are better or worse than the competition. I do own a Razer Blade Pro laptop, which is the best laptop I've ever owned (including MacBook Pros), so I chose these almost entirely based on my previous experience with Razer products. br>br>In terms of comfort, I'd give them a 5 out of 5 rating. They're very light and "cool" in the sense that they don't get hot after a while; no matter how long I wear them for, they're always completely comfortable, and I never feel like my ears are sweating or that I need to take them off for a break. I almost don't notice I'm wearing headphones at all. The volume control, on the other hand, is something I despise. Like almost every other headphone, it has a dial on the cable, but the problem is that it's a very free-form dial. The dial spins and spins and spins and spins and spins and spins and spin It's not a "tight" dial that won't move unless you put your fingers on it and turn it up or down, nor is it the type that clicks as you turn it up or down a notch. As a result, it rubs against your clothes every time you move (for example, when you change positions or reach for a drink of water), and the volume increases or decreases. You can't just turn up the volume and leave it at that. It appears that every 15 minutes or so, After 30 minutes, I'll check to see if the volume is still what I want. You get used to the constant checking after a while, but the design could have been much better. It doesn't make any sense to me. I've used a variety of headphones (for music, etc. ) with similar volume controls, but none that change the volume with even the smallest touch. br>br>Because I don't use the microphone, I don't have an opinion on the subject. It retracts nicely into the headphones, so you don't even notice it's there, in my opinion. br>br>If the headphones weren't so comfortable and I wasn't already a fan of Razer products, I would have given them a three-star rating and possibly returned them because of the volume control issues. In fact, after reading my own review, I believe I should contact them to see if this is how they intended it to work or if I received a faulty pair.

The audio quality is excellent
5/5

Hyper X Cloud 2 headphones were my most recent pair of headphones. Don't get me wrong, the Hyper X Cloud 2s were an excellent and comfortable headset. The issue I was having was that the cord had split and the microphone had stopped working. I can confidently state that the 2019 Razer Kraken isn't just 20 years old. 00 less than my previous set and are also more comfortable. They actually sounded better, which surprised me. I like that the mic is retractable and that the cord has a volume adjuster; this headset is a no-brainer, best-bang-for-your-buck purchase for me.
