Questions & Answers

Is it possible to cancel out background noise?

It does a fair job of noise cancellation, but not 100%, which I prefer just in case of emergencies and whatnot.

Is it possible to use this with a cord connected to my computer via USB rather than wireless?

Yes, I recently purchased this headset, and it functions properly when connected to a computer via USB.

Will these continue to function (stay on) while they are plugged in to charge? Or are they compelled to turn off when they're being charged?

While charging, they continue to work. It's something I've done on my own a couple of times.

Is it possible to use this as a microphone and headset on a computer?

Yes, it is possible. My son uses it for Virtual Learning as well as gaming on his PlayStation 4. It has a USB port, so you can use it as a wireless headset by plugging it into anything. On my work computer, I also used it. Hopefully, this information is useful:

Selected User Reviews For Logitech G733 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset with Suspension Headband, LIGHTSYNC RGB, Blue VO!CE mic Technology and PRO-G Audio Drivers - White

It was disappointing
3/5

I really wanted to like this headset, but there are far too many disadvantages to outweigh the advantages. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile, but I do have some high-end headphones and expensive headsets, so I can tell good sound when I hear it. br>br>First and foremost, this is a nice-looking, lightweight headset that has the right ideal with the suspension headband borrowed from the Arctis lineup, but the front rgb kills it for one major flaw. You can't turn off the RGB on console, which is a major drawback for me. Even though I mostly play on PC, I do want flexibility because I play a lot of Genshin Impact on PS4. For this, I'll be using my Arctis 7. The comfort is good, but the oddly shaped earcups have the same issue as the older arctis: my right earlobe touched the inner driver wall, and these clamp a little harder than the earmuffs push, so the fit is hit or miss, for me it's a slight miss, but bearable. br>br>The sound is next; these 40mm drivers are very weak; I spent about 4 hours tuning and using a V curve worked okay, but the DTS is terrible; seriously, it's terrible. The bass is natural, and these are tuned solely for gaming. They're good for fps, but there are better options for that, so they're a niche option. Don't even consider music; these are completely unsuitable for music. Also, I paid for these; I did not receive them for free, despite the fact that most of the people here did. Ignore all of those reviews. Finally, the deciding factor. br>br> The volume is extremely low, to the point where either these are tuned way down to save battery for that rgb or my pair is defective; I tested these and all of my wireless headsets become significantly louder. Arctis 7, Arctis 1, g933, astro a20, A50's, and even the old g930's are all examples. I'm not sure where Logitech went wrong with these; they have the looks, the comfort, and the battery life, but all of the audio has been turned down and the volume levels have been reduced. These drivers are either extremely bad or my pair is defective; in either case, they will be returned. Any of the headsets I mentioned above are much better, so do yourself a favor and get one of those. If rgb sucks 10 hours off of it on console and its pc only to turn this off, the battery life is worthless. Because the rgb serves no purpose, it's only used for fps and streaming. Take note, Logitech: you got most of it right, but the price is way too high for the audio quality, which is poor, and the volume is way too low. Install a firmware update that allows rgb to be turned off for an extended period of time, so console users aren't inconvenienced. These are easily beaten by Arctis One. I realize this will not be a popular opinion, but it must be expressed. br>br>Edit: I can confirm that these are de-activated as of October 23, 2020. tuned with the help of a pre-recorded tape I increased the db to 1 using an amp on my computer. 5 and the volume level is 20% higher than stock settings and of course this will drain the battery quicker than stock settings and of course this will drain the battery quicker than stock These are a big no-no for me because of the price. You will need to keep these at 80 to 100% on ps4 or you will not hear detail otherwise you will not hear detail otherwise you will not hear detail otherwise you will not he If you're seeing these, Logitech, it's time to ramp up your pre-production efforts. Because your drivers are capable, you should increase the volume in your software. TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR With ineffective DTS, low volume, and no way to turn off RGB on PS4, this niche headset is best suited for streamers. These are hit or miss in terms of comfort; for small ears, they're great, and for medium ears, they're almost perfect. ear. It's all about the volume. I shouldn't have to pre-record anything, and I shouldn't have to pre-record anything. To increase the volume, use an amp and bypass software. Sorry, but I think this will be the last Logitech headset I buy, as I've decided to go with the HyperX Could II wireless instead. br>Also, ignore all of these Vine reviews; these people have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to audio. I'm not sure why Vine reviews are counted in the first place.

The gaming headphones are fantastic
5/5

When it comes to serious gaming, these headphones are the best. They aren't good for critical listening, however, and they aren't good for do-it-yourself projects. Headphones are required. br>br>In order, I look for the following features in gaming headphones: br>* Audio that is played from a specific location - I can tell if an enemy is above me, behind me, and moving left to right if they are on the floor above me. Not all gaming headphones perform well in this regard, but the G733s do. br>br>* Strong wireless signal - Since I got them, they've stayed paired without a hitch. br>br>* Comfort - Right out of the box, they're extremely comfortable. The cups are large enough to accommodate large ears, and the headband is firm enough to keep them in place. The headband does not pinch even when stretched out. For wireless phones, they are incredibly light. ten out of ten for comfort!br>br>* Battery life - With the RGB lighting turned off, it lasts for 30 hours as advertised. The 30 hour battery life is a significant improvement over the previous generation's 15 hour battery life, and I no longer have to worry about the batteries dying in the middle of a game. When you press the power button, a voice informs you of the battery level, and you can also set an auto-recharge schedule. br>br>* Sound quality - the software has an off timer, which is nice. br>br> Even after adjusting the software EQ, the mids and bass are lacking. In games, don't expect natural-sounding music or head-scratching explosions. br>br>For serious gaming, I rate these 5/5. They're ideal for playing for long periods of time. There are headphones with better sound quality, but none that tie it all together like the G733's.

It's Adorable and Reasonable *Headset Manufacturers, PLEASE READ*
4/5

If you don't want to read my rant about cute gaming accessories, skip to the pros and cons section. br>br>Tl; It's adorable and reasonable, Dr. I wish it was a little less expensive because it's not as nice as my Steel brand headsets, but I'm in desperate need of a cute headset. They aren't noise canceling, which is fine with me because my house is quiet, but I do want to hear if my husband calls for me. br>br>I'm not going to lie: I bought this primarily because it's cute and comes with a wireless dongle. It matches my adorable color scheme perfectly. There aren't a lot of cute color options in wireless headsets that are also gaming-ready. It's also a terrible shame. GIVES US AN ADORABLE, HIGH-QUALITY HEAD-SET COMPANIES AND SETS! Because every PC gamer I follow had a pair, I tried Razer's wireless BLUETOOTH Pink Kitty headset. Unfortunately, it's a waste of time. My RAZER headsets, as well as my sister's, had poor mic and sound quality, so we returned them. DO NOT be fooled by all of the Razer-promoting Twitch streamers. They got theirs for free and use different microphones. Advantages: br>br> OKAY, IT'S CUTE. It's small, light, and has good sound quality for my small ears. Someone said they were too quiet, but that wasn't the case with mine; I mostly play Overwatch, Phasmophobia, and Dead by Daylight, and it's been perfect for those games. My friends claim that the sound quality of the mic is comparable to that of my more expensive STEEL brand microphone. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT LEDS REFLECTING ON GLASSES ARE COMPLETELY TRUE. Location of the LEDs is poor. These are not noise-cancelling headphones. It takes some time to get used to the square shape. Overall, I'm glad I found a gaming headset that's also cute and works with my PC setup. Except for the Razer mouse and keyboard, most of what you see in my setup was hand-painted.
