I'm 19 years old and working on a laptop provided by my employer. I needed an adapter to connect to a larger monitor because it didn't have a VGA connector. br>The VGA cable barely fits into the adapter, and the connection was lost every time the laptop moved from simple typing; the problem could be that the holes in the adapter aren't deep enough; I had to force the VGA plug into the adapter and then hold it in place to get it to work. To keep them together, you'll need to use tape. The adapter does not have any screw holes for securing the two pieces together. br>br>However, the problems do not end there. The picture quality was poor; everything on the monitor had a greenish hue to it, all of the crispness that computers provide had vanished, and everything was out of focus and difficult to look at. The adapter was purchased to allow me to work with a large monitor rather than my small laptop screen, but the monitor's picture quality is so poor that I am unable to use it. If you think it's because of the monitor, you're wrong. Equally important, Starware has excellent, fast-response customer service; when I had a question, they responded quickly, clearly, and accurately. Starware is clearly striving to be a great company, as evidenced by their efforts. br>br>Oh, and there's one more thing that struck me as particularly impressive: This small adapter comes in excellent packaging and has a high-quality finish. Holding the device in my hand feels good, and the plugs/sockets fit snugly without slop. In addition, the package includes an insert card with information, tips, warranty, and other pertinent information, all of which is written in a clear and concise manner. repurposing old monitors is a great idea! Instead of buying new monitors for my home servers, I wanted something simple to extend the life of a couple of old ones. Despite the fact that the motherboards still have VGA outputs, one of the servers has a graphics card that doesn't (which disables onboard graphics). br>br>Simple and practical, despite the fact that it does not secure the cable attached to it via the cable's screws. Despite that minor flaw, I rate it 5 stars for ease of use and operation.

Because this adapter is compact, it fits easily into my laptop bag. It's small enough to fit on my desk without taking up too much space. Other items appeared to be two connectors separated by a short length of cable. They became larger and more cumbersome as a result of this. I saw the cable as yet another potential source of failure. This product had a much lower price than its competitors.
