I have no idea; Windows 10 is installed on my computer. It's a good idea to read the fine print on Amazon's adapter link. com and/or contact the manufacturer (I'm not sure if that information is available).
I believe you are unaware of the purpose of this. If your PC has a new video GPU, or if you have a device that only has an HDMI output: This converts the signal so you can use an older monitor's VGA input with the cable. Only HDMI ports on a new GPU - > Monitor with only a VGA input.
No ! It cannot be used in the opposite direction. br>Another product to consider is VGA to HDMI (Search: VGA to HDMI). B07KNY6PWQ) B07KNY6PWQ) B07KNY6PW
Micro USB is available on Android phones. Although they may have a mini hdmi port, this is a full-sized hdmi.

I bought this to use with my new Dell laptop computer as an extra monitor at work. My previous laptop's VGA connection worked fine with the monitor, but the new one's HDMI ports didn't. (The new one doesn't have a VGA port. ) I bought this converter cable, plugged it into the HDMI port on my laptop, and I was good to go. It has worked flawlessly so far. I haven't had it long, but if anything changes, I'll make sure to let you know.
It's a fantastic projector, but it's connected to a monitor via an older cable. Although it lacks an HDMI port, I have a newer laptop that does not accept the older monitor cable. I didn't want to buy a new projector because I think mine is one of the best ever made. So, to solve this problem, I bought an HDMI to VGA video converter/adapter cable. My projector gave me an error message the first time I used it; However, after conducting an online search for a solution, I discovered that all I needed to do was lower the resolution on my computer in order for it to function properly. The resolution change worked, and I no longer need to search for an old laptop computer to get my projector to work. The adapter/converter cable worked perfectly!.
The monitor I used for this is the one on the left that has nothing on it; I use it to watch videos and pull up articles. My right monitor is what I use for gaming and writing papers)br>One morning, I was cleaning out my room when I came across an old monitor that I thought I could use for multitasking, but it used VGA, and I already had a VGA port on my GTX 1050 Ti graphics card, so I looked around and found this neat little product, which was exactly what I needed. I upgraded my gaming/school setup to allow me to stream, do schoolwork while reading articles, and so on.
I needed this to connect my Switch to a VGA (PC Mode) monitor via HDMI. So far, I've tested it on four TVs in my house, and two of them don't work, but the other two do. Now, on one of those supported TVs, the image does not adjust properly from the vertical space, even after adjusting under settings, etc. , but the other does, so I know the cable works! What I really wanted it for was to be able to play my Switch on a real Dell Monitor at work during my lunch break, which I'll be able to do tonight. Only VGA and DP are available on our monitors, which do not have HDMI. Because DP doesn't work when switching from HDMI to DP, that's a no, and while VGA doesn't carry audio, the Switch's headphone jack still works in docked mode. br>br>I didn't notice any input lag during my four TV tests, and of the two that worked, I didn't notice any at all. I'm using a third-party mini dock with an HDMI to VGA adapter on top of that, and there's still no lag. It's possible that when I test at work, things will be different. The monitor only accepted 720p and displayed "Mode not supported" until I lowered the output resolution on my Switch, which I did at work.
There was no indication that it couldn't be returned, so it was a bit of a letdown when it wouldn't work on any of the working monitors. On my second go-around, I ordered a different type of adapter with a lot more information.
Older VGA monitors can't be connected to newer computers because there isn't a port. Because most newer computers only have a hdmi port, you can use your old monitors instead of buying a new one with this adapter. It's great, and I ordered a second adapter for my wife when she got a new computer.
Today I placed my second order (from this company). My previous one worked flawlessly for almost a year, but today while using my PC, my monitor flashed the "signal lost" message. Okay, I've been here before, so I'm aware of the problem. It took 11 months for this to work, and then it just stopped working. That suits me fine. I should get two today, now that I think about it. in case something goes wrong haha! But, in all seriousness, I'm happy with this device in every way.
Every conference room in which I give presentations at work has a different cord to connect to my laptop. Despite arriving early to set up, I was able to connect to any configuration for the projector quickly and without fumbling in front of leadership. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get each projection screen to come down without pressing every button on the wall/remote, and I'll be good to go!.
