This item is in good working order, and I'm writing a review for it. br>br>I have a lot of monitors and computers. I recently built a new computer and am in the process of migrating all of my important files to it. I needed a monitor while setting up the new PC, but the new PC only has DP and HDMI ports. Only VGA and DVI ports are available on my spare monitor. So I bought this to use with a VGA cable to connect the new PC to the monitor. The following is the set-up: PC > > HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) > the adapter > VGA cord > monitor that has seen better days br>br>It works fine, no problems; I believe you must connect it to a 5v outlet via a smartphone charger or to a USB port on the computer. On my power surge strip, I hooked it up to a spare phone charger. There's even a number three. For the HDMI cable coming in, there is a 5mm audio output on one side. (Audio is transmitted via HDMI. ).

It's a good deal at a low price, in my opinion. br>I have two older monitors with only one HDMI or DVI port as well as VGA. So instead of buying a new monitor, I was able to use an old 17 for a Raspberry Pi project, which worked perfectly, and to dual monitor a new computer that is also connected to an older PC, I extended connection to both. On my older 17" AOC, I notice some interference, but it could also be the PI. For the price, I still believe this is a good product, especially when compared to the cost of replacing a monitor. I wouldn't try to do anything other than extend the desktop with this. I also used the vga cable to connect this converter to my Pandora's Box 5 arcade console, and it worked perfectly. As a result, I used HDMI / VGA with a Raspberry Pi, a PC, and a Pandora's Box arcade console.

First and foremost - I'm a real person, not a robot, and I didn't get this item for free in exchange for a review. I was getting tired of using my laptop after my job went remote due to Coronavirus, and I really missed my dual monitor setup from my cubicle. I had a vga input on a small old television at home. This hdmi to vga adapter was purchased to extend the screen on my laptop. It arrived quickly and was ready to use right away. It came with a couple of extra cords that I don't need, but they're nice to have and will go into my big ol' bucket of wires for future miscellaneous needs.

It arrived quickly and is in excellent working condition. My laptop only accepts HDMI or mini display, so I needed a way to connect it to a VGI monitor. This adapter is ideal for my needs. It also includes an audio cable that allows you to listen to music from your laptop through your monitor speakers. Because I don't need it, I haven't connected it. However, when I tried to play sound through my laptop speakers and the headphone jack while using HDMI, nothing happened. If I needed the monitor at the time, I could have fixed it in settings, but I simply unplugged the adapter, which solved the problem.

I'm driving a ViewSonic monitor that I repaired with an old Apple TV. I can now connect the HDMI video and audio to the monitor's VGA and audio ports. It performs admirably and does not require any USB power. Because the HDMI cable is built in, it is very simple to connect. It's well-made and durable. Best of all, because I didn't have to supply power, this is surge-protected.

I bought this because I wanted to use VGA instead of HDMI on my Xbox One because it produces a better image, and it worked, though you must change the video settings on your Xbox to DVI rather than HDMI or the colors will be off. I bought a similar item, but without the power supply, and nothing came through. I suspected it wasn't getting enough power, so I bought this one, and I was correct.

As a result, the device performs admirably. I recommend using a micro USB cable to connect the device to a wall because it requires more power to send the signal and may not work with some electronics. So, if you're not getting a picture and you're not using a cable, try plugging it in. That was a problem I had with my WD media player. I like this device because it allows me to connect my PS3 to my monitor and play games while also allowing me to output sound to my bluetooth speaker box. Because the neck is fairly flexible, you won't have to bend it as much to get it to fit. Because it's a short cable device, you'll have to rely on the monitor cable for slack. Overall, I am pleased with this device and would recommend it to others.

IT WORKS PERFECTLY! During the virus, my wife began working from home, so I wanted to provide her with a second monitor for the desktop computer we had in our living room. I had an old flat screen VGA monitor, so I hooked it up to the adapter, then plugged the monitor into the HDMI port on the machine's video card, and it worked perfectly. All I had to do was set Windows 10 to see the monitor on the left side rather than the right (as my machine did by default), and it worked flawlessly. On Windows 10, this is extremely simple to accomplish. This is the second one I've bought, as the first one I used as a work laptop. It actually works! Best of luck and stay safe!.
