I've had no problems with them. I can remotely access the Mac through a remote NX session using one of these devices and the Mac will believe that it has a monitor attached and will present options to change the resolution according to the computer I'm connected to. The use of the GPU greatly improves the performance of remote sessions since the GPU is automatically triggered on the Mac.
After using numerous convoluted ways to control/remote connect to a headless server in high resolution, this option is a really easy to operate device. I'm able to connect to the headless server in high resolution mode, and I can connect to many VNC servers (x11vnc, tightvnc, tigervnc, realvnc, etc. ) with just this cable plugged in. It is just a matter of swapping the connection that needs to be done if the monitor needs to be plugged back in.
These applications are indispensable for me to maintain VNC connections on my Mac computers and Raspberry Pi computers as a specific resolution.
In a closet I set up a system to transcode video and convert it. It was very frustrating using team viewer because the video always stayed low res after shutting down It's possible to change the resolution, but handbrake didn't render correctly for me, so when I was without a monitor, I ran into problems. A 1050ti 4GB was popped in and this worked perfectly. I haven't had any issues since I installed this.
Works well. If you want to use TeamViewer or stream from a computer using Steam or Nvidia, you can do it easily.
I have no other choice but to say that The graphics settings on my 4k monitor do not change when I remotely access my computer. Windows used to move and resize based on their local graphics settings before.
As others on here have said, I bought this because the description said 3 DisplayPort adapters appear to have been found, however. Anger is a real problem.
I use it on my mining rig and find it to be very useful. It's the first thing I noticed because the pictures feature an HDMI connection, but I was sent two Display Port connections.
It allowed me to remote into my tower even though I didn't have a.
