br>On an Alinco DJ-2000, these fit very loosely on the BNC side. These 580 flop around aimlessly. The twist locking mechanism is extremely ineffective. br>Even if the radio's lock pins are worn out, any of the stock Alinco or Diamond BNC antennas will still lock onto the radio securely. Using any length of SMA antenna with these adaptors, however, results in a very loose fit with little locking action. br>If I shook the radio hard enough, the adaptor would probably fall off. br>br>I'm not out a lot of money on these, but it's unfortunate that good/excellent adaptors are hard to come by. If I could find it, I would pay more for higher quality.
So far, so good; no signal loss that I've noticed. It does make the antenna a little taller, and you lose the partial seal that the factory/Nagoya's would provide if they were screwed directly to the radio. However, for the convenience of switching antennas, I can live with that. br>br>I'll buy more as spares, but I don't see them failing anytime soon after several months of use. I'd like to see the same configuration with the SMA enclosed so that the antenna's base is a little more sturdy. dislikes: br>br>dislikes: br>br>dislikes: br>br>d br>br>Potentially increased strain on the antenna connector (SMA), but this hasn't been a problem so far.
In practice, it's not the most attractive solution, but it works fine; I've since installed a mobile radio in the car and simply connected the antenna to the Baofeng.
This small piece appears to be compatible with my hand-held Ailunce Ham Radio. It simplifies the process of changing antennas. According to my understanding, the screw's threads are only good for a limited number of uses. This method eliminates the need to replace threads. It's simple to use and understand. There were no issues at all. There hasn't been any drop in performance that I've noticed. It is highly recommended. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative Your antenna will gain a significant amount of length with the addition of this small piece. I didn't care for the way it looked at first, but I've grown to like it. As seen in the illustration.
DHT has provided me with a number of connectors and adapters, all of which have been of excellent quality and come at a reasonable price, including this adapter for converting a Baofeng type antenna to BNC.
With my police scanner, I was given an extra antenna, but it did not fit. This component allows me to connect my scanner to a different antenna. It's of good quality and does what it should.
This, combined with a BNC adapter on my radio, allows me to change antennas quickly while also allowing all of my antennas to be used on all of my radios. I convert all of my radios to bnc.
One of the two pieces is faulty - The BNC male would fit but not lock because the small channel cutout was too small. br>As a result, I'm returning them and re-acquainting myself with them. Another set is on its way. Hopefully, out of this buy/return/re-purchase, I'll get two good/useful ones. order. br>I'm sure they make tens of thousands of these in batches, and maybe I just got one that was defective.
