Questions & Answers

Can I get a POE injector with this sku?

There is a POE in the 1 pack. A POE injector is not provided in the 5 pack.

Is there anyone who has checked the speed of gigabit internet?

When this AP is connected to the 5 GHz band, the downlink speed is consistent at over 500 mbps.

Outside of the home is this capable of being used?

The definition of outside depends on what you mean by that. Although I plan to install in both of my garages, I believe these areas are not in direct contact with

The AC does the same thing A wireless uplink feature of HD Pro, LR, and Lite is offered by Ubiquiti
5/5

The range extender basically enlarges the range of a network. The mesh system should, in theory, use sibling radios for client and uplink communications, but in practice several radios are used simultaneously for client and uplink communication. It is not the ideal implementation, but it can be useful in certain situations.

We are ready to roll with our new firmware since it has matured
3/5

A new update was posted on December 7th. In addition to releasing new firmware every couple of days, Ubiquiti has been diligent about keeping bugs fixed with The *4 has been in effect since it was first published. With the 0. 0 release, this AP has been rock solid and I'm confident recommending it now to anyone in the market for a top of the line AP in a small package. The AP still has some quirks and limitations surrounding edge features like wireless uplink, but in terms of core functionality, it works great and all of my wireless devices are now able to connect and remain connected without issue. It is truly astonishing how much speed can be achieved when using devices that can take advantage of 4x4 MIMO. In addition, I would like to emphasize how excellent the engineering team at Ubiquiti Support forums always receive a lot of engagement, and the developers are always interested in feedback on bugs and feature suggestions, which are sometimes adopted days or weeks after they are posted. This ecosystem is really intriguing to me, and I recommend these products to anyone with a solid background in networking and who enjoys tinkering. My home network has been going Ubiquiti gear for some time and I was very excited to get my hands on the spiritual successor to the UAP There have been a lot of remarks about Ubiquiti gear requiring a lot of tinkering to get everything just right. I'd say in my experience with the nanoHD, USG and USW switches, that's a pretty accurate description. As far as we can tell, the nanoHD firmware is still in its early stages of development, with numerous bugs and instabilities compared to the other APs we've tested. My experience is that it's very difficult to maintain my devices on the 5GHz band and that the UBNT forums are flooding with users who are experiencing the same problems as I am. You might want to stick with the stable UAP instead if you are in a saturated RF environment Give the nanoHD some time to cook and stick with the PRO for now.

Read between the lines if you want a better range
5/5

The only thing I found disappointing about this product was that it was meant to be used for WiFi in my 1800 square foot home. My signal drops off quickly at distances of 30 feet after I stand near my unit, even though I get very fast speeds while close to it. There is adequate coverage from this router, but since I need to wave my phone in the air, I have to pray that the connection does not I do have a gigabit switch hooked up to your computer, yes. Yes, I installed the controller and used a non-proprietary one Channels are overlapped on WiFi networks. There is not a lot of traffic on 4ghz. I did mount it correctly on the ceiling with the downward facing side up.

Ubiquity is to be blamed for making it difficult to navigate their wide range of products and not stating that this specific product doesn't deliver on its promise. The IEEE 802. 11 standard provides wireless access. Wave 2 management unit for 11ac I was assuming that the NanoHD would provide adequate wifi performance in my modest home because MIMO technology combined with the UniFi nanoHD AP could deliver up to 125% greater performance. ". That's not the case.

UBNT delivers another piece of rock solid hardware that disrupts the market
3/5

The APs that I just replaced have been I've tested the PROs at my house where I have around 70 active clients and was pleasantly surprised by the performance improvement. Although the AC PROs are great, the NanoHDs are with a class of their own. There has been a huge improvement in device-to-device communications The client-server communication (Plex server and Plex clients, Ubiquiti NVR and Plex clients, etc). The overall WiFi experience scores are pretty close to 100% across the board. Well worth it!.

5/5

I have always admired Ubiquiti hardware, and when I moved into a larger house, I chose to add two Unifi nanoHD units to my existing UniFi network, and I regret There are many issues with devices that won't stay connected, or won't connect on the 5GHz band. The Unifi nanoHD devices themselves may crash, lock up, or just stop working altogether. In spite of the fact that I spent far too much time messing with the firmware and configurations on the UniFi controller, I eventually got it to work. I had already missed my chance to return the nanoHD units by the time I figured out nothing would work. My only regret is that I wish I had bought more We are not talking about the barley function beta nanoHD units, but PRO.
