Unifi does not need to be purchased. Almost any router with switch ports will work with this product. With this router and the Linksys EA6900 on my network (flashed with Fresh Tomato), I have four of these on my network. My router doesn't have wifi, so I don't use it. I am really impressed with the performance of these APs.
Under the UAP The pro- The device installed in less than 5 minutes in my Ubiquity mesh network. A non retail box was used to effectively package the item.
In short, yes. You can extend its life as well if you place it where it's protected instead of putting it where it is not protected. Simply because it says how much resistance, that is exactly what it means. The product is water-resistant.
Although lR has a longer range (600 feet vs 400 feet), it is a 2x2 MIMO radio A 24V injector is used for PoE in LR.

You are probably like me and have never wanted to spend more than $100 on home networking -- wired as well as wireless. I have tried slew of different brands over the years, LinkSys, Buffalo, TP-LINK, so on and so forth I'm attaching a link, Links are just a few of them, and let's not forget the modems provided by the ISP. I had to restart the router dozens of times to resolve connection issues, most of which involved WiFi, others involved the wired connection. So, just to be clear, I have spent hundreds of dollars just to be disappointed. The PRO rate is The USG is The United States- It won't do to settle for good enough. I think it is excellent! In the UAP as a whole - Although PRO is in a corner of the house and not in the center of the house, it delivers complete (and consolationable) coverage to my 2700-square-foot single-story home. (I am planning to move PRO to the back yard, to allow for better coverage). It has been over a week since the installation, but since then I only had to restart the system when upgrading the firmware. *It took me some time to get used to the way the controller is managed, I installed it on my computer as a home-based device It is an add-on to assist. However, now it all makes This is an excellent book, and I cannot recommend it As for the price? I think that after you total up the equipment you have bought along the way and comparing it to what this costs - you can see how this is very reasonable.
My company, an IT services company, has deployed a few different wireless networks (Watchguard, Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Meraki), and I can say that for a home or small business, or even average size business, Ubiquiti is an easy choice. Getting the most out of their equipment is easy, because it works well and gives you lots of options. In addition to this, their equipment works together extremely well with excellent logging / information to help you fine-tune your setup if you know what to Ubiquiti has some other access points too, but this is one of their most popular models. There are some other models, but frankly I wouldn't bother with anything lower than this. It's just too good for the difference in price. It is impossible to find anything even close to this price. If money is no object, then I would say there is better stuff out there, but at this price range, without subscription fees, these are the best.
That's not that big of a Even though I had to work for hours to get my setup to the way I wanted, I am still able to do that. There is a need to log in multiple times and the users didn't seem to collaborate under one We had to go through a lot of There is no easy setup to it, but it does work.
I was able to seamlessly connect to my existing UniFi setup with this. There are three TVs, a PS4, four tablets, two phones, and three raspberry pis in my home. There is no longer a AP limit on the RV in terms of connection speeds. Throughput is now governed by the end device limitations rather than the AP. It's a big victory for everyone in the camper to be able to stream at full speed- The sound was all blast all the time. If I had to do it again, I would consider an It is an HD model, but it is powered by an AC-powered generator The PRO and AC were a perfect match A mesh-based system The same number of MIMO streams is included with PRO.
There is a problem with the design and construction of my house, it is a two story house with a basement and the construction is brick and cinder block. Additionally, the floors and ceilings are concrete, so it is not the most WiFi friendly house. The problem with this is that I have an access point for each floor but now that summer is here we spend more time outside, so even though we have signal it is pretty weak and my google home speaker needs to be placed in the correct spot in order to work properly. My AP is awesome, I ran it under an awning as recommended and it is super simple to install. power, I am able to cover any area in my lawn. I look forward to bringing it up to full power and seeing how far I can go.
In the case of the Amazon unit I ordered, it had a board revision of 31, so new. That's about it. installation was straightforward, and I think I could have used the existing bracket from the old Unifi AP, but I enjoyed the new style My Unifi switch became an 802. 11ac server after I changed the port. This AP used 11af PoE instead of passive PoE as the old AP did, and it came online right away when it was connected. The system is used in a home where there are about 40 devices connected, likely a lot of them With the help of a Unifi AC LR, I was able to power my needs. Since this device is so reliable, I soon will forget that it even exists. Coverage is excellent and I love the device. Although the LED ring is bright, you can turn it off in the controller if you find it.
I recommend the UAP AC Pro to the majority of my customers because 1) it is an affordable product with great features 2) it is reliable 3) it covers a wide area 4) it is able to handle a large number of clients simultaneously, and 5) it has great The ubiquity of WiFi radios that you see all over is a good thing. The rate of automatic handoff when you walk from one coverage area to another (compared to previous models) is significantly faster.
