In general, the speeds don't depend on the device. Instead, they depend on where I am in relation to the nearest Verizon tower, how strong the signal is when I connect to the device, and how many users are also connected to the Verizon network being said, just last night I ran a speed test in Somerset, KY in which I connected with 4 bars and received A download speed of 6 Mbps and a upload speed of 4 Mbps. A bandwidth of 9 Mbps is available. Although there is no way to ensure you will receive the same speeds, it's unlikely.
A great idea would be to purchase your own, instead of having it on a monthly basis. It is also a good idea to ask Verizon about this device before you buy it.
The one I got was the one I was told about. I kind of think my original from three years ago is still as good as new. All in all, it works a lot better than I had anticipated. There is no difference in strength between your cell and the strength of the Internet.

There is a hotspot on the mobile phone, but it runs off of battery power only. After you charge up the jetpack, you can unplug it and it will work. However, if you want to leave it in a remote area, you cannot simply plug it in, as you can only charge it through the plug. We tried running it on the wall outlet with the battery disconnected, but it just shut off. We ran it plugged into the wall outlet with the battery disconnected and it worked for about five minutes before starting to recharge and then shutting The short answer is don't buy this if you aren't going to babysit the thing, but if you are it might work for you.

This device is wonderful. It was delivered in a timely manner and was simple I covered a lot in my two-week report Taking a camping trip in Texas recently when we stayed in this 2-story home. There was excellent service the whole day, as well as very good service in the camping zone, so we simply could not be happier. We also loved the size of this and did not go into the specs of the device because they are all on Amazon, but rather we used it on vacation and beat it up by leaving it under the rain until it was soaked and it did hold up somewhat through the rain, despite not being waterproof. Our tent was dropped dozens of times during our camping trip, so we just wiped it down with no trouble. I also left it on the dashboard of our truck for hours with the windows rolled up, and this Texas heat was so hot that I thought it might have been damaged when I opened the truck up to get it out, but nope, not a scratch. This product was perfect for what I needed. I highly recommend it.
The only thing I would change is to give it no stars. A liquid created by the device obviously didn't work, as it is covered in a juice like substance. It is almost impossible to return it because they made it so difficult.
Living in a rural area on the edge of our only tower's coverage area, we rely heavily on our cell phones. Prior to this hotspot, our download speeds were slow and the signal was poor. Additionally, the signal become weak as it grew older, so that even our cell phone hot spot function would have a signal, it would lose signal when we used it. Compared to much weaker and intermittent units, this one provides much more stable signal and better speeds for downloading. It worked with no problems, but the SIM card we purchased with it (which we were told was the correct one to buy for the MiFi6620L) was incorrect. Verizon promptly sent the correct SIM card to us at no cost, within three days of purchasing it, we had the correct SIM card. The unit requires a Nano SIM card, and Amazon sold us a Micro SIM card. It would be easier to have gotten it there on the same day if there was a Verizon store nearby.
There was no way to authorize it on my existing Verizon account at Verizon online. A representative from Verizon online was trying to get me to choose a new plan, so I started a chat, and in just a few minutes, the person got it done for me. The phone did not work after I received it. That was due to the fact my SIM card had expired. Nowhere in the description is it mentioned that a new SIM card has to be obtained. Thus, when I received it, the phone With other electronics that I have purchased that worked after charging, I did not need to locate a part that should have come with the device at the time. Because of this, I have given a poor review to this product. Because I am disabled, I am not able to visit a store because it is so difficult
to do so. In order to activate it, I contacted Verizon when I received As it turns out, the SIM card had been retired. The person I sent went, they were given a SIM card, and when they brought it to me, it wasn't compatible. I finally had to take the jet pack to a Verizon store, and together with the fourth SIM card, I was able to use the jet pack. I can't get these 6620L's up and running easily, they're quite old, and getting them activated will not be easy. I have made the worst purchase in my life.
