I've been surprised by how well it works. There are times when I need to reboot it because the connection becomes wonky however, I think that may be caused by Hotpots can be used with the new unlimited service from the company. Depending on the model, the battery can last for four to six months It may take up to 6 hours to fully charge depending on how often you use All our devices work great with it, but consider getting the 4G LTE version if you can afford to pay an additional $30. It's not as inexpensive in country. ****Bought this because we are moving to a remote part of Chad and need cellular WiFi for our phones as well as wanting to improve phone battery life. As you can see, I used my TMobile Republic Wireless sim. It worked great, however, it only had 2G coverage because it does not appear to be equipped to support 3G in the US. It was easy to set up, though. It installed drivers for Mac when I connected it even before I plugged it into my MacBook Pro! We will try it overseas once we are in country. There will be an update on my review once we are there.
However, the device wasn't unlocked and the person from the service center said that after they bought the phone and tested it, it did not work.
I had to buy a new product because it got overheated during normal use. That was a disappointment to me. They seem to be experiencing this problem in every device they own. An extremely annoying situation! It loses signal all of the time. The batteries die quickly on all models. I wouldn't buy one that costs too much. A friend or family member could sell it to you. Regardless of what happens, it will be a sham. The only other option if you have to buy one for deployment or any other reason is to buy one for a CHEAP price. Sucks to work for this company. Do not offer a long refund offer, especially if you need to ship internationally.
I can only advise you to figure out ahead of time who is going to provide you with a SIM card. Last time I used Lebra - it was a great experience This carrier covers most of Europe and seems to be reliable.
Our visit to Taiwan was made possible thanks to your book. Then we installed it in the device, connected both of our phones to it, and bought a SIM card for unlimited wifi. My experience has been flawless. Despite being in the mountains, there was a good signal. It would have been great to have it while in Europe.
My recent trip to Holland was on this device and I avoided high roaming charges that usually occurred with international roaming. After I arrived in Holland I purchased a Lebara SIM card for just 10 euros ($13) and I had With my Samsung S3, I been able to access solid 3G data on the KPN network no matter where I was. Using the Skype Android app, I exclusively used Skype to make and receive calls. It was a better call quality than a normal cell phone call to the United States- I always do. During an hour of calling, I measured 19 megabytes of voice usage. So for one gigabyte of data, you will have about 50 hours of Skype call time. There are shops all over the world where you can purchase 1 gigabyte top up codes. The Huawei MiFi unit cost me $76 and 2 gig of Lebara data cost me $26 -- for a total of $101 for two weeks. I was more than happy with that deal since I was able to make and receive calls and use my laptop everywhere. Plus, I spent less for WiFi in my hotel and at the convention I attended. There are currently 10 countries where Lebara is available.
No matter how much I tried, I could not activate it. I could not get it to work.
The program works properly.
