As stated in the listing, they said the unit is "refurbished," not "new. " They seemed very confused by this. It took the Verizon store representative an hour and several other conversations to figure out what was wrong, and I left the store very disappointed. The rep spoke to four others and had three customer service people on the phone before they found a solution, and I left very upset. There is an item listed in this listing that says "Replacement router. ". There is also no mention of being refurbished, and the option to buy new simply says I received a defective product and the description was misleading, unless I received the wrong one. In exchange for a refund, I am returning this item.

Verizon restricts the number of minutes you can use within certain limits. The unit was purchased in order to replace Comcast as my Internet service During a conversation with a Verizon wireless sales rep, they noted that speed would be throttled at "peak demand moments" after 20 GB of data consumption. In reality, I was unaware of this until I purchased this jet pack and signed up for the unlimited data plan, which changes the speed of transmission to 3G once the user consumes 10 GB of data. The caveat was not made clear to me in the fine print, or it could be because I didn't read all the fine print. - though the slow-mo might be a better option for me Comcast offers spotty, but largely satisfactory, service. Verizon offers good service and Verizon offers bad service.

In store, Verizon charges more than twice what it sells online. However, my device worked well and was easy to set up. Verizon, on the other hand, is a brainless company They were dead as far as the administration was concerned. A 2Gb plan consumed 1Gb, which is more than I paid for. After a couple days of upgrading the firmware, I had to replace five of them. Trying to create a new account on their web site proved impossible because the registration button would not work I cannot make calls to them since I don't have phone service. I've had three technicians try to set up an account for me, but none has been able to do so. There is no way they can - or won't do it I don't expect to receive a password through email or text, but I expect to receive it via US mail! Even after 3 requests and 3 promises that it would be mailed to me over the past month - I still haven't received it. What an outrage!.

What it does is what it should do. This is what we use with the Verizon Unlimited plan for $65/month. This device works perfectly and gets a good signal down here where most devices find it difficult to receive one. It is a plus on that front. My only complaint is that the unit begins to get very hot when doing large amounts of data transfer, such as downloading or streaming big files. The power adapter gets so hot that it will automatically shut off due to battery overheating. Whenever it happens, naturally, it is at the worst possible time. It is possible that this could be a non-factor when I bought a used unit It is an issue on new units, but I have installed a heatsink to address it.

This is a device I selected because I want to leave it in one spot and have constant access to the internet This is my first time using wi-fi and I'm The signal seems to hold much longer from the tower than either of my phones did, perhaps partially due to the fact that it can stay The Wi-Fi service is another thing I like about the hotel This is despite the fact that I do not even have the setting on high. As soon as I get my external antenna, I shall be able to see what it can do. This is a nice little beauty, perfect for me, and I'd absolutely recommend it to my friends.

Due to such features as accepting two antennas and being able to automatically turn on when power is applied, this hotspot is appealing to me. did not find a setting to optimize for single user downloads as I have seen on some others, but it seems to work quite well anyway. [update] A software update was released and the symptom seems to be more stable now.

The lack of a touchscreen is not a problem for me. Most of the time I get confused by menus since you have to choose the bottom option to get back to the main The speed is faster and multiple devices can be connected without conflict with this as an alternative to my slow broadband. I have both of them running at the same time and the latter runs faster. I needed an antenna to receive signal where I am due to the lack of signal in my area. However, when I'm in the city, I do not have any connection problems. The signal is strong at all times. It goes into an inactivity cycle that I do not like. So at 3 am when my devices are ready to install updates or run notifications, they are unable to do so. It takes as long as you press the power button on the device before the device shows up at all. Plugging in is not necessary for almost two days before the battery runs out. Fast charging is possible with this device.

The charger would let me use it tomorrow even if I plugged it in overnight. Any person who carries out a lot of data using a hotspot should check out this product.
